UCLA makes Eletise an offer

He’s just a junior, but Michael Eletise has been a much sought-after young man.

UCLA became the latest university to offer the 6-foot-4, 305-pound junior — he said he has gained 20 pounds since football season — a football scholarship on Thursday. He also has offers from Colorado, Texas Tech, Arizona State and Hawaii.

Eletise was a Star-Advertiser all-state second-team selection last season.

UCLA recruited Saint Louis offensive lineman Fred Ulu-Perry. The senior signed his letter of intent to play for the Bruins on Wednesday.

Arizona, Cal, Nevada, Oregon and USC have shown interest.
