No. 1 Punahou gets ready.

A week after one of the craziest high school football games ever, Punahou, which earned the No. 1 ranking after beating Saint Louis 51-45 in double overtime last Friday, hosts ‘Iolani to start second-round ILH Division I play.

The four-time defending ILH Division I champions are 25-1 since the start of the 2013 season and have beaten ‘Iolani by the same 59-22 score in each of the last two meetings.

The Raiders (2-4, 0-3) were competitive through two-plus quarters in the last meeting before giving up 31 unanswered points. Nick Kapule has done an admirable job filling in at QB for the Buffanblu in place of starter Ephraim Tuliloa, who was hurt in that ‘Iolani game. We’ll see if Tuliloa makes it back today.
