It’s loser goes home in the OIA playoffs tonight as 10th-ranked Kaiser heads West to face No. 2 Mililani. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

6 p.m. update: Kaiser is off the bus and it looks like junior linebacker Parker Higgins isn’t going to play tonight. He’s got his jersey on but is in shorts and slippers and listening to music while his teammates get ready. Higgins injured his knee in the fourth quarter in a 54-48 win over Moanalua last week. Also checking on the status of Nicolas Tom, who suffered a head injury last week against Na Menehune and was taken off the field in an ambulance.

Both Tom and Higgins are indeed out. Two huge blows to the Kaiser defense. Mililani will be without WR Kalakaua Timoteo (32 rec, 669 yds, 5 TD).

CORRECTION: We do have a Parker Higgins sighting late in the first quarter on offense. Looks like Higgins is giving it a go.

WR Kainoa Wilson, who was injured in Mililani’s season-opening win over Saint Louis, is one of the game captains for the Trojans and is expected to play.

Mililani wins the toss and will receive.

Third-and-9 and McDaniel takes the option pitch 9 yards but Kaiser is whistled for holding. On the previous play, it looked like Parker Higgins was in fact in the game. There was a No. 10 for Kaiser. Cougars have to punt again and it’s shanked. Mililani takes over on the Kaiser 30.

It takes three plays for Mililani to score this time as Vavae Malepeai runs in for a 5-yard TD run. 27-0, 29.8, Q1.

Kaiser with a short kick that lands at the 35. Trojans aren’t ready and Ocean Ku-au recovers it for Kaiser. First-and-10 at the Mililani 30. Cougars run it three times for a net of zero yards as Mililani’s defense has been great against the run. Fourth-and-10 and Kaiser calls timeout.
