Saturday’s scheduled game between No. 1 Kahuku and Campbell has been moved up to Friday according to Sabers coach Amosa Amosa.

UPDATE 7:30 P.M.: OIA Football coordinator Harold Tanaka said that all games are still scheduled for Friday and that the league will make a determination late Friday morning whether to move the doubleheader to Monday.

UPDATE 4:23 P.M.: Saturday’s scheduled doubleheader at Aloha Stadium featuring Waipahu vs. Roosevelt and Farrington against Leilehua has been moved to Monday at Aloha Stadium. The JV games between the two teams are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. followed by the varsity start times at approximately 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. The remaining three games (Faith Lutheran vs. Kaimuki; Kapolei at Mililani; McKinley vs. Kalani) are still on as of now.

The combination of weather and President Barack Obama‘s arrival on Wednesday has resulted in multiple schedule changes in various sports throughout the island.

All volleyball games in both the OIA and ILH as well as ILH junior varsity tennis matches scheduled for Wednesday were postponed.

The BIIF has canceled all sporting events for the rest of the week through the weekend.

The Red Raiders (3-0, 3-0 OIA Blue), who are ranked No. 18 in the country by USA Today, will host the Sabers (2-2, 2-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Campbell has won three of the last seven meetings against the Red Raiders, including a 28-7 win in the third-place game of the 2013 OIA playoffs that knocked Kahuku out of participating in the state tournament.

Campbell won the last three meetings??? Didn’t kahuku beat them last year 50-0. Then the last time I remembered them playing Kahuku was in 2001 when kahuku beat them 57-14

  10. kahukuwrckless September 1, 2016 10:58 am

@simplesimon, red x is right it says 3 of the LAST 7 meetings meaning they won the last three games, you should read the whole thing next time

  11. Manley September 1, 2016 12:11 pm

Gotta agree with simon. It should have read ” Of the last 7 meetings, Campbell has won 3 games”.

    @simpleSimon
Guy you know how read and you should read it about 10 more times so you can understand!
And weren’t you the one said that wesley maiava ain’t going nowhere but yet I was right that he went to Orem…lol

  13. Jeezy33 September 1, 2016 8:00 pm

No. Simplesimon has it right. “3 out of the last 7” means that out of the last 7 games, campbell won three. it does NOT mean they won 3 games straight in the last 7 meetings.

My god. Is this the Kahuku education people are talking about??

I believe this is where Education First starts bringing up test scores.

  14. Tutu Kane Ale September 1, 2016 10:29 pm

Nice guy this Harold Tanaka like he’s making plenty sure that Kahuku make pre Lesteration out of Campbell inspite of the grandfather scoreboard and the puka puka football field whereas still it’s going to be safer driving home to Ewa Beach; RR4LE.
