Just cause you have no rebuttal, doesn’t make it a bad comparison.

No, bro. It’s a terrible comparison. You are comparing a three tiered HHSAA football tournament that was voted on by all the league representatives having one vote apiece that costs the state and the schools very little money and which no player or coach went on record having any objection to (the only objection is from anonymous, usually kahuku, fans posting on a high school sports blog), to promote a game played by high school kids with a projected $8.1B public works project spanning from waianae area to ala moana, which is running into contract disputes, budget issues, and partisan politicking.

    Your analogy is extremely bad.

St. Louis is scared to play Punahou in the semis and then Kahuku in the finals, but since they have the power they dont complain they rig the tournament behind closed doors in their favor. All that kahuku fans have is our voice to expose the truth

  3. Chloropicrin October 25, 2016 5:18 pm

On the Hawaii sports forum, someone said Tua can’t play in states cause of age…is that the word going around?

lol I think your user name is hilarious and you’re doing a great job with the trolling by having a handle alluding to donald trump and using trump type paranoia about “rigging.” well played, friend. I’m super entertained. And I mean that.

No one is crying and no one is scared. Just call it what it is and stop trying to make $#et up to justify what your trying to do. Since when in the History of any sport does the #1 seed have to play the #3 and #2 seeds to win? You say ranking doesn’t matter well than lets just use common sense. Who are the top 3 teams in the State this year? 1. Kahuku, 2. St. louis and 3. Punahou. Now in the history of a 6 team single elimination bracket how do they decide who plays who? Well its #1 seed plays the winner of the #4 and #5 and #2 seed plays winner of the #3 and #6. Thats it! There is no “um well uh we don’t want the same teams to play each other” bull$#et. Thats why there is a regular season. They see who the top dawgs are and they place them accordingly. Call it what it is…..

  8. al October 25, 2016 6:16 pm

88, it’s been said repeatedly that the seeding has been done this way for pretty much ALL sports for years. Look at the girls volleyball tournament and you’ll see the seedings are the same way. the bylaws and procedures are public record. You’re just refusing to see it because.. to be honest, i have no idea why.

You can say “well it shoudln’t be like that!” and whatever. that’s fine. But when you guys start going to crazy land by talking about conspiracy theories… my god.

You guys brag about how dominant kahuku is but then whine about matchups and having to play two ILH teams. To me, I have no idea why kahuku fans would do this unless kahuku fans are actually scared and worried. If kahuku wins, they’re the greatest football team ever assembled. If kahuku loses, “it was rigged against us! ILH recruits and blah blah blah.”

So much whining and excuses. Seriously, I’m not even trying to insult you. the kids and coaches for any OIA or ILH team aren’t making excuses or whining about matchups. It’s only the (usually) Kahuku fans here. just stop already and enjoy the tournament.

  9. 88 October 25, 2016 6:42 pm

No body is whining bradah Al. Kahuku will beat every team in the State this year. Just calling it like it is.

  10. anywaaaays!! October 25, 2016 8:05 pm

The absense of the neighbor island teams in this Open division is what eliminates the protocol of handing out the top 4 seeds “RANDOMLY” to the 4 conference champions.

This year there is only two conferences in the Open div. ILH/OIA. The top two seeds are a no brainer (ILH champ #1 OIA champ #2, or viceversa)

    Who gets #3 and #4?

It is common sense that we use the ranking system that everyone agrees on. Look at all the local Hawaii top ten polls by scoringlive/OC16/Staradv…they all have the top 4 teams ranked the same. I will love to see the excuse, justification or flat out balony reasoning that the HHSAA uses to do otherwise.

No body is whining bradah Al. Kahuku will beat every team in the State this year. Just calling it like it is.

Dude, all you do is whine. And try to bully behind a fake name. And try to make everyone think you played football. You are so pathetic and predictable.

You will do your same routine. You will talk tough. You will get angry. And you will whine and whine and whine since that is what you do best.

But instead of calling the HHSAA to make a formal complaint, you come on a blog hiding your true identity since you are a scared little boy.

Don’t worry, even the Kahuku fans over the past several months have started to stop supporting your posts. Have you noticed that? And I am not talking about your alter-ego (anywaaays, 87, too meke, etc.). Man, we all know that is you.

You guys all write using simple English with 1 or 2 syllable words. It gives your writing a fingerprint. And that fingerprint says, “dumbass” and “whiner” all at the same time.

You are so pathetic to think the ILH and/or the HHSAA really care that much about screwing one team of kids. You are desperate and pathetic. But then again you never performed a civil service so you have no idea what these people do.

But keep blogging away. We are ready for your Version 1500.1 reason why you are angry and how Kahuku is getting ripped off. Just to let you know, when you hit version 2000.1, most people will be tired of it, even your Kahuku backers that no longer back you.

  13. 88 October 25, 2016 9:39 pm

I’m pathetic? I’m not the one with 100 different screen names pretending to be someone else every time I post. Take your pills and go wash the dishes. Grown folk are talking right now.

  14. Checkyoself October 25, 2016 9:49 pm

Comments have been getting out of hand and off subject.
What is your gripe? The topic is about football seedlings, what place a team ranks in and puts that team in a certain spot.
Everyone forgets…… these athletes are our children.
The future of Hawaii football. Whether from Kahuku or from Kea’au, they are our future. What are you commentators teaching them. Look at the bigger picture. Yes we are a proud community. But let us teach our keiki we are proud of them for the effort and commitment no matter win or lose, we are there for our student athletes. I know we all love our community. And/or a private school.
Let our keiki play their hearts out and see where they stand. Enough of this childish bickering and WE ALL SUPPORT ALL OUR HAWAIIAN STATE STUDENT ATHLETES!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember we are one!!!! Instead of putting our schools down. Help them improve. Instead of remembering what game was won 5, 10, 20 years ago, let’s remember how great a game was played.
Common…. let’s not lose focus on what is important….. one gets better we all get better.
Teach our keiki to be sportsman…
We as a State should be proud of not only where our teams place. It’s where our Keiki can improve. Open, Div1, Div2, whatever. It’s our future…. they have it in their hands. Be supportive….. Let our student athletes play…… Be Humble…. No make High Makamaka kine.
We live Hawaii… We live pono…..and yes we love football!!!! Sit back, no bias of what team you rout for.
Appreciate our keiki playing their hearts out.
Yes, there will be a winner….. All in all, we can all improve…… Football is in our blood. We as a State should be proud!!!!!

  15. anywaaaays!! October 25, 2016 10:24 pm

@Checkyoself: Your sentiments are well taken but where was the Aloha in the 80’s when Cal Lee decided to cherry pick the best athletes out of all the communities to build up the St. Louis schools reputation? You do understand that the STL brotherhood “Worldwide” expect nothing less then a Championship title every year right!!!! The Adults/ Alumni want to win more then the kids, the kids want to have fun and be competitive but when STL loses the alumni are dissapointed. Kahuku fans are no different, we expect to win and we are not afraid to protect our tradition.

Now Punahou is doing the same thing with recruiting and robbing the communities of their athletes. If you dont stand for something you will fall for anything! Look at communities like Waianae, Farrington even Mckinley and Kaimuki used to be dominate in Football. They didnt stand their ground, whether it be by voicing their opinions or uniting as a community to cultivate a winning environment. The thief comes when you least expect it and he robs the cupboards bare!

So now you have to use my accusation? Man at least be original Mr. 88, or is it 87? Or is it TooMeke? Or is it anywaaays? Man you got called out last week and I heard you never show. Cuz, you one scared little boy using a public computer. I notice you only write at certain times. It must be when the local walmart or whatever store you go to is open for you to use their internet.

But once again, come up with your own material. And pretending to be different people that is all you.

But back to the “whining game” starring 88 aka 87 aka toomeke aka anywaays….

Hi 85, my bi-polar friend with mulitple personality disorder, hahaaaa go back to cali fuu!

*Education First/ ILove88/ 808savage/85 (confirmed by admins to be the same bipolar person):
….He said that he is an alumni of Lowell High School in SanFran – where the football team is 0-8 but the boys cheerleading squad is making splashes and rainbows….yippeeee!!! This fuam is a pompom puffing, skirt wearing fafafeinge! Why he finds Kahuku fans so magnetic I do not know!

..my bi-polar friend please support your San Francisco High schools program by posting in their online forums here
http://lowellathletics.olinesports.com/schedule.php?sport=572 …be a good little boy and support your team and coaches and stop calling our Kahuku students “Stupid with low GPA’s”. Leave Hawaii high school forums alone and go to Sanfran forums, or better yet go to craigslist casual encounters since you always trying to meet people on the internet…does your misery really need company? hahhahaaaa

  19. anywaaaays!! October 26, 2016 2:11 am

I’m sorry guys. I can’t lie anymore. I am also 88, too meke, and 87. I have to tease male cheerleading since I never made the squad. It really hurt so I have to tease it. I’m also sorry I talk big behind a computer. Please understand that I have a lot of animosity against everyone since I never made the football team. Geez I never even graduated. I don’t even have my GED. I have to come on here and act tough since I had no real friends, only imaginary ones. I make up multiple usernames so I can pretend that I’m correct. I promise I’ll try harder not to do these kinds of things. But it hurts. It really hurts.

  20. 88 October 26, 2016 9:44 am

Look at this clown trying to be someone else now. What’s the matter buddy did mommy and daddy not give you enough attention growing up? This is a sports blog not a “look at me guys” support group. Idiot.

  21. TooMeke October 26, 2016 10:15 am

St LuLu. Please don’t waste money and preprint championship shirts like last year.

Donate that to a worthy cause (unlike your failing pursuit of a state title).

    HA!!!!!!!

    RRFL

  22. Checkyoself October 26, 2016 11:01 am

Yes recruiting and transfers are a big issue.
Still they are our keiki. Be proud of our keiki.
It’s not their fault. It’s the system. The haves and the have nots.
If private schools cannot recruit then there goes the six figure coach.
If you can afford it then sure go. All comes down to coaching, parents, and rules and regulations.
It does come down to talented athletes. Until rules and regulations change on recruitment this is how it will be. The lucky and talented few can attend a prestigious school and can get a quality education on scholarship. Now if they change it where no highschool scholarships can be given upon athletes, that will change Hawaii sports.
    To play, you gotta pay.
Until then support your HAWAIIAN STUDENT ATHLETES!!!! No matter what division or school.
    Teach our keiki sportsmanship.

  23. Andrew Hopoi October 26, 2016 11:21 am

lets put it out there! I would love to see Kahuku beat Punahou and St. louis but I don’t see it happening this year. I really think Kahuku needs to be able to throw the ball in order to beat the two ilh teams. All I know is that we are going to watch some good football games!

  24. 85 October 26, 2016 11:47 am

88 please stop using your alias such as TooMeke, anywaays, 87, and all the rest of your names. It’s pretty clear they are all you.

I am curious though. I was reading through previous posts and I notice a poster named Education First called you out and you have yet to say why you didn’t meet him? For a guy who talks so tough and big, is there a reason you didn’t show? And is there a reason why you didn’t answer his question why you didn’t show, tough guy?

And moderator, please confirm that I am not eduction first. 88 probably thinks everyone who disagrees with him is the same person when in fact the entire blogging audience is sick of his tired sad song called, “I have no nuts.”

OMG, that has been used about 1000 times on these blogs. 88 you are by far the most unoriginal, not creative, most boring blogger in the history of the world.

Oh yeah, and you have no nuts. Don’t ever forget that son!

  26. Jason Keuma October 26, 2016 1:15 pm

Andrew Hopoi- I look forward to good games also (above 500 teams in the open division). d1 is a joke. HHsaa is extending the season for 8 teams that should not be playing next weekend. I look forward to reading about the results of d1, but will be watching the OPEN games. The ILH is in for a surprise. Punahoe will have to play the first round, and will will. Kahuku is allowing 3.11 points per game(excluding the gorman game), 6.3 points with the gorman game. Very similar numbers from last year. I believe Kahuku will do just fine. The ilh teams have a great offense, but never see a defense.

  27. anywaaaays!! October 26, 2016 1:19 pm

@Checkyoself, does that not bother you that in order for the ILH coach to maintain his paycheck he has to win? In order for him to win he needs to deplete the OIA communities of their elite kids. So is he really interested in the kids success or is he trying to keep his six figure paycheck? To add insult to injury the ILH now want to join regular season with the OIA, the very communities that these coaches are stealing the talent from they want to act like nothing is wrong as if the playing field is even and we can all be one big happy conference.

The ILh is all about money, they have been operating with a college mentality of “survival of the fittest” at the expense of OUR public school kids. How so? Well Kahuku is a prime example of a program whos success is attracting college coaches, we currently have 9 kids with offers. When the team wins the kids that are borderline D1 talent with no offers start to gain college interest. This year Stokes and Codie are those borderline players with no offers, If Kahuku win the state title I bet they both get at least 1 offer, thats a $200,000 swing (via college scholarship) based on winning the state title. So do you see why winning is important to Kahuku? Well the ILH see it that very same way too thats why winning is everything to them and thats why they wanted both their ILH teams in the tournament, so they had an opportunity to win. The strength and success of a team helps for the individuals to shine. When the ILH come and remove the talent out of the school the OIA team suffers and is left hanging. Thankfully Kahuku has tons of talent and even though the ILH has a handful of our kids we still can manage, other communities are not so lucky.

Im not against Private school opportunites for our keiki, but when the ILh Alumni want to continualy use and abuse the OIA for their own personal agendas, thats when I will voice my opinion…for the interest of our public school kids…the “have nots”.

@85/Education1st/808savage, hey dilrod try talking football in a football forum, Your alma mater Lowell high in San francisco is losing on the football field, you are losing the battle of words on this forum which means you are a loser in real life, its ok buddy, you can continually quote our posts to get our attention cause no one is really talking to you, we will continually laugh at you and feel sorry for you at the same time. Hahahahahaha!

  28. anywaaaays!! October 26, 2016 1:25 pm

@JasonK, read my previous post on why winning is important, I believe the 3 divisions is a good thing for our keiki because it helps the Big dogs, Medium dogs, and little dogs get exposure. However this particular year it was rushed. The teams that were playing in D1 during the regular season (Cambpell,Mililani,Moanalua) should not be in the new D1 tourney.

Next year the regular season divisions should be locked in with its teams already decided. Also get rid of the name “Open”, it should be D1,D2,D3, Once locked in no teams should be able to jump up or down into a division tournament. This would be ideal.

  29. TooMeke October 26, 2016 1:42 pm

@Andrew: same opinion as last year. (see results).

St LuLu? No O-Line = no running and no protection. Tua is great, but being a one-man offense only works against lesser defenses (see Puns, Kam, Crapiolani). If not for all of those turnovers by Puns, they would have beaten St LuLu again. Do really think their O-line is going to hold up against Big Red’s D? You can’t win if you can’t score (see last year).

Puns is the bigger threat. Much more balance on offense with a GREAT O-line. And if they take care of turnovers then they will be the more difficult matchup. But they have yet to prove they can stop anyone’s running game on defense. That being the case, how are they going to get Big Red’s offense off the field?

These are the matchup problems for those two teams.

Big Red’s D can control both of their offenses (dominate in the case of St LuLu).

So it’s a matter of Big Red being able to control clock and score with the run, then shut down on D. Has worked well for the last two seasons, and I don’t see any different outcome this year.

Hey Kahuku peeps – It’s the next day and you still whining and crying? Cry when you win cry when you lose? Maybe HHSAA should let you guys decide on the seeding, who’s in what division, who can coach the other teams, who can cheer for the other teams. Maybe we can also have the Star Advertise out the people that are dissing you guys…Will that put a smile on your face? at least for a day? Crybabies!!

  32. rrfl October 26, 2016 2:49 pm

    No that’s ILH job

  33. phILHarmonic October 26, 2016 2:50 pm

    ILH not stealing talent.
Parents and players want more than what they’re home school is offering.
    Is that wrong?
Is the ILH school at fault?
    NOPE.
Is it an easy decision by family, to leave their friends and family to go to a school, that they dont know anyone? for parents to work two jobs to pay bills and tuition? wake up at 430 in the morning to make sure you get up into town for school on time? get home at 9 in the evening everynight after practice?
    NOPE, NOPE,NOPE, and NOPE
Feel happy and proud for these kids, rejoice in their representation of your community in these prestigious schools, praise their parents for wanting to do more, embrace, embrace.
Unless you see one of these ILH school coaches coming around your neighborhood with one scoop net, then disregard my entire message. #privateschoolproblems

YAWN!!! People, can anyone be more boring and unoriginal than this guy? So we all know that 88 doesn’t have any nuts since he didn’t show up to meet E.F.

But really? Now that I call him out and tell him he has no nuts since he is a coward hiding behind a fake name who acts tough but won’t say it in person, he resorts to, “85 there you go again talking about my nuts… My Chorizo must be hanging from your forehead cause my nutz is always on your mind. Dude look up and tell me how many inches you see…..”

Wow, it’s the insult for dummies comeback. Really man? Is that all you can come up with? I am always talking about your nuts?

Can you at least try to come up with something original and witty? I know you are not that smart, but can you at least try?

We all know you are chicken shit, but to keep using the reused and recycled content over and over again?

I will give you credit though. You will write boring and unoriginal stuff over and over and over again and not care. But you don’t seem to care behind a fake name.

    No that’s ILH job

No RRFL, the ILH’s job is to get their kids to graduate and into college. By looking at the standards from Kahuku, you might want to borrow a page from the ILH. Your graduation rate sucks. Your free and reduced lunch recipients are absurdly high. How can you talk crap when your kids are mostly dumb, families are poor, and you are represented by 88/TooMeke/anywaays.

I am pretty sure those guys are your class valedictorians. Let me know if you don’t know what that is. I can put the definition for you….

@RRFL, first of all I am not talking about anyone’s nuts. Secondly, the moderator can easily tell everyone that 85 is not me. I have been away on business so my apologies for not being more active on these blogs.

But on a serious note, I don’t understand why 88 who is also toomeke (paper grading wizard) who is also anywaays (master of deception) will not join me for lunch. I am actually offended.
