Whoever did the schedule this season didn’t do the Roosevelt Rough Riders any favors. The Rough Riders, who are out of playoff contention, finish their season already tonight with their eighth games in as many weeks. Roosevelt (1-6, 1-5 OIA D-II) and OIA D-II leading rusher Charvis Paia host Kalaheo (1-5, 1-4) for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
HISTORY: The all-time series is tied 8-8. Kalaheo won an entertaining game, 39-29, last season despite giving up 267 passing yards to current Rough Riders QB Shastyn Kekahuna. Roosevelt has been dedicated to the run this season but could the Rough Riders air it out in their final game?

9:47 p.m.: Rough Riders kicking it off at the Kalaheo 45 after a personal foul call on Kalaheo. Touchback. Lehrner is picked off by Ashton Lafaele and he takes it to the Kalaheo 48.
9:44 p.m.: Isaiah Rosa is stuffed up the middle for no gain. Roosevelt calls timeout with 1:28 left, Their first of the half.
Shahtyn Kekahuna keeps it on the read option for a 10 yard TD. Hijirida kick good. 28-8, 1:21 left. He had an open path to the end zone. He should have fell down at the 4.
9:41 p.m.: Shastyn Kekahuna keeps it on the triple option and gets a first down. That might have been the dagger, 2:38 and running. Kalaheo calls its final timeout with 2:01 left. 3rd and 5 from the Kalaheo 10 for Roosevelt, First down ends this thing.
9:30 p.m.: Lehrner is sacked twice and now they face third and 24 from their own 20. They call time with 6:14 left. Lehrner throws an incomplete pass. Decision time…They punt and Roosevelt takes over on the Kalaheo 49 with 5:59 left. They get a first down after three consecutive rushes. On Kalaheo 35. 4:18 and running… Kalaheo calls timeout on 2nd and 9, their second of the half. Ball on Kalaheo 34, 4 minutes left.
9:27 p.m.: Mustangs opt not to go for an onside kick and Roosevelt makes them pay, taking a return own to their own 45. Rough Riders driving, but they fumble and Kalaheo recovers on their own 34 with 7:04 left.
9:26 p.m.: Lehrner and Nathanial Gribbons connect on consecutive passes, the latter a 30 yard TD. They go for 2 and get it, a pass to Veerman 21-8, 8:34 left. Things just got interesting…
9:17 p.m.: Roosevelt three and out. Kalaheo starting on its own 29 with 10:18 left. Needless to say, they have to score here to stay in it. Damien Veerman hauls in a 13 yard pass from Lehrner for a first down but he’s down at midfield.
he took his helmet off and is jogging back to the sideline. Kalaheo now on Roosevelt 49 with 9:19 left.
9:11 p.m.: They make up for it with three consecutive sacks. Ball now on Kalaheo 20
9:07 p.m.: Roosevelt attempts an onside kick but to no avail. Kalaheo taking over on its own 45, that was an odd choice.
9:05 p.m.: Charvis Paia with a 1 yard rushing TD. Hijirida PAT is good. 21-0, 2:13 left in the 3rd
9:04 p.m.: 3 and out for Kalaheo, Mustangs punting from their own 1. OOPS. ball lands on the Kalaheo 14, It actually landed on about the 35 but it took a horrible bounce for Kalaheo. One of Kalaheo’s players is down with what appears to be a cramp.
That’s Isaiah Tigilau-Kiaaina, one of their defensive lineman. Limped back to the sideline.
8:57 p.m.: They’re driving. 1st down on Kalaheo 26. And they’re staying true to the run. Even on 3rd and 7, Isaiah Rosa takes a handoff and takes it 8 yards. Roosevelt throws on 3rd and 10 from the Roosevelt 15 but it’s incomplete.
And a flag is thrown! Another break for the Rough Riders. Pass interference on Kalaheo. Fourth and 5 from the 9, Shastyn Kekahuna drops back to pass and escapes three pass rushers on his way to a TD! Rough Riders are catching all the breaks right now, Mustangs can’t catch one. Hijirida PAT good, 14-0 5:19
8:48 p.m.: Roosevelt to start from its own 20 after touchback. Rough Riders fall short on third down but catch a break when Kalaheo gets called for a horsecollar. 1st down on own 39
8:42 p.m.: This is Roosevelt’s homecoming and senior night, and there were some festivites during halftime.

Lehrner completes a pass to Thulin-Marsh at the back of the end zone but it’s negated after the Mustangs get called for an ineligible receiver downfield. Lehrner is sacked and can’t spike it in time. 8:21 p.m.: Kalaheo gets a first down and calls its second timeout of the half. 31 seconds left, ball on Roosevelt 34
8:18 p.m.: Three and out for Kalaheo, who will punt from its own 24 with 2:44 left, Let’s see what Roosevelt’s two-minute offense looks like… Roughriders taking over on their own 30. Roosevelt’s first pass is picked off by Tristan Thulin-Marsh. After a block in the back, Kalaheo is starting on the Roosevelt 45 with 1:04 left
8:10 pm.: Roosevelt punts after going 3 and out. Kalaheo starting from its own 18, 5:53 left in the half. This game is going a lot quicker than the other one I did today
8:04 p.m.: Kalaheo punts and Roosevelt will start from its own 17 after a nice boot. 9:18
7:57 p.m.: Roosevelt calls its second timeout of the half facing fourth and 6 on its own 43, 10:58 left
7:55 p.m.: End of 1: 7-0. Rough Riders have the ball on their own 39 facing 2nd and 11 and have not thrown the ball yet. 16 rushes as a team.
7:53 p.m.: Kalaheo turns it over on downs at the Roosevelt 26
7:45 p.m.: The Roughriders are very rush heavy. They’re absolutely rammed it up Kalaheo’s throats on that drive, rushing 14 times and throwing it none. Charvis Paia with a 1 yard rush for a TD, Jake Hijirida PAT good. Roosevelt up 7-0, 3:25 left.
