9:30: Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala gains 42 yards on a short pass from Hipa to the Punahou 15, but two penalties move it back to the 45. Hipa’s pass with one second left falls incomplete.

9:27: Terrell lets Punahou breathe easier with a 20-yard touchdown run up the middle. Maretzki kicks the extra point. PUNAHOU 31, CAMPBELL 21, 0:27 left in fourth quarter.

9:22: After a 15-yard penalty on Punahou, Terrell rumbles 27 yards to the Campbell 25. 1:00 left in game.

9:20: Punahou driving. Unsportsmanlike conduct on Sabers brings the ball to the Campbell 36.

9:16: On the next play, Hipa throws a high ball that Ceruti comes down with and eludes some tacklers around the 15 to get into the end zone for a TD. Taylor kicks the extra point. PUNAHOU 24, CAMPBELL 21, 4:09 left in fourth quarter.

9:15: Ivan Soriano recovers a Punahou fumble at the Buffanblu 40.

9:13: The Sabers give up the ball on downs at the 21 when Aina-Chaves is stopped for no gain on fourth and 1 by Tafiti.

9:05: Aina-Chaves runs for 8 yards and Titus Mokiao-Atimalala catches an 11-yard pass from Hipa to the Buffanblu 27.

9:03: Two penalties on Punahou allow give the Sabers possession at the Punahou 46.

8:58: Buffanblu face a fourth and 3. Maretzki tries a 36-yard field goal and misses wide left.

8:54: Third quarter ends.

8:53: Terrell gains 12 yards to the 30.

8:53: Nathaniel Kia picks off a Hipa pass. Punahou ball at its 18.

8:51: Campbell’s offense is right back at it. Titus Mokiao-Atimalala makes an over-the-shoulder grab of a Hipa pass for a 48-yard gain to the Punahou 32.

8:48: After a short punt, it takes the Buffanblu three plays to cover 29 yards. Sagapolutele’s 10-yard pass to a wide-open Kiaaina-Caires is good for a touchdown. Maretzki kicks the extra point. PUNAHOU 24, CAMPBELL 14, 2:20 left in third quarter.

8:46: Alakai Gilman, Legend Matautia and deFries-Saronitman come up with big defensive plays and Campbell goes three and out and punts.

8:42: Sagapolutele’s pass to the end zone is picked off by Titus Mokiao-Atimalala in the end zone. He returns it 17 yards. Campbell starts at the 17.

8:41: Terrell razzle-dazzles his way 46 yards on the kickoff return. Punahou ball at the Campbell 37.

8:34: Roughing the passer against Punahou brings the ball to the 2. On the next play, Aina-Chaves busts through for a 2-yard touchdown. Taylor kick is good. PUNAHOU 17, CAMPBELL 14, 5:34 left in third quarter.

8:32: A pitch to Torres is snuffed out by Punahou’s Jonah Henry. But there is a late-hit penalty on Punahou on the play. First down for Campbell 4.

8:30: After a 7-yard Hipa pass to Chasen Torres, Campbell has a third down and 3 situation from the Buffanblu 9.

8:29: Aina-Chaves rips off a 20-yard run, but fumbles on the next play. The Sabers recover. Ball is at the Punahou 16.

8:28: For the third time, the Buffanblu give the Sabers a first-down due to an offside penalty. First down at the Punahou 36.

8:26: Pass interference on Punahou and Aina-Chaves’ 14-yard run up the middle push the ball to the Buffanblu 46.

8:22: The Sabers take the second-half kick and start at the 19.

7:59: Second quarter ends.

7:59: Maretzki is in to try a 32-yard field goal. The kick is short. Campbell and its fans are uplifted heading into the locker room at the half.

7:58: A pass interference penalty is called on Campbell on a deep route as time runs off the clock. The Buffanblu will get one more play at the 15.

7:56: Kiaaina-Caires grabs a 20-yard pass from Sagapolutele to the Campbell 30. On the next play, Titus Mokiao-Atimalala breaks up a pass in the end zone to Eldredge. 0:07 left in second quarter. Punahou uses its last timeout.

7:54: Sagapolutele throws a 15-yard pass to Kiaaina-Caires, who gets popped hard by Titus Mokiao-Atimalala at the 50. Punahou timeout. 0:25 left in second quarter.

7:53: Hiram deFries-Saronitman sacks Hipa to help stop Campbell’s drive. The Sabers punt. 0:32 left in second quarter. Punahou ball at its 35.


7:49: Hipa shows extreme escapability against two hard-charging Punahou rushers. But his first-down pass is incomplete.

7:48: Hipa’s 14-yard pass to Ceruti is good for 14 yards to the Punahou 47. Sabers call timeout. 1:23 left in second quarter.

7:46: Punahou goes three and out and punts. Sabers will start at their 39. 1:44 to go in second quarter.

7:43: The Campbell punting unit comes on after a three and out. 3:50 left in second quarter.

7:38: Terrell sweeps left for a 6-yard touchdown. Maretzki adds the extra point. PUNAHOU 17, CAMPBELL 7, 4:46 left in the second quarter.

7:36: Quickly, the Buffanblu march. Eldredge catches a 32-yard Sagapolutele pass and Terrell goes up the middle for 25. Then, Rayden Kiaaina Caires catches a 25-yard Sagapolutele pass. Punahou ball at the Campbell 6.

7:33: Terrell’s long kickoff return is called back due to a penalty. Punahou starts at its 7.

7:30: On the next play, Hipa finds Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala in the front middle of the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown. Chase Taylor kicks the extra point. PUNAHOU 10, CAMPBELL 7, 6:14 left in second quarter.

7:29: Campbell avoids disaster. Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala fumbles but recovers the ball.

7:27: Another mistake by the Punahou defense could prove costly. They jump offside on Campbells fourth-down-and-2 situation. Sabers ball at the Punahou 13.

7:23: The Sabers get new life. Three Buffanblu break in to try to block a punt. One hits the punter and roughing the kicker is called. First down for Campbell at the Punahou 26.

7:22: On third down and 10 from the 42, Punahou’s Tafiti puts pressure on Hipa and Hipa’s pass falls incomplete.

7:21: Aina-Chaves runs for 9 yards and then 4. Ball is on the Punahou 38.

7:17: First quarter ends.

7:17: The Sabers get a gift from the Buffanblu, who go offside on a third-and-3 situation. Campbell ball at its 42.

7:12: A Peter Manuma fumble is picked up by Punahou’s Tevarua Tafiti and returned 70 yards for a touchdown. Maretzki kicks the extra point. PUNAHOU 10, CAMPBELL 0, 1:13 left in first quarter.

7:08: A 22-yard Hipa pass to Mokiao-Atimalala and runs of 6 and 4 yards by Aina-Chaves pushes the ball to the Buffanblu 35. 1:33 left in first quarter.

7:05: After a delay penalty, Campbell gets a first down on Hipa’s 13-yard pass to Titus Mokiao-Atimalala and a Aina-Chaves 6-yard run. Ball on the Sabers’ 34.

7:01: The Sabers’ defense stiffens and the Punahou field-goal unit comes on. Quinn Maretzki kicks a 35-yard field goal. PUNAHOU 3, CAMPBELL 0, 3:53 left in first quarter.

7:00: Punahou on the march. Two 25-yard Terrell runs (and a 15-yard penalty) pushes the ball to the Campbell 17.

6:56: An Aina-Chaves 17-yard run puts the ball at the Punahou 49, but on the next play, Aina-Chaves fumbles and it’s recovered by the Buffanblu’s Alakai Gilman.

6:54: Campbell quarterback Blaine Hipa hits Titus Mokiao-Atimalala with a 19-yard pass for a first down at the Sabers’ 34.

6:53: The hard running of Jonan Aina-Chaves gives the Sabers a first down at their 15.

6:49: After a series of penalties by both teams, Punahou punts it away and pins the Sabers at their 1. Campbell’s Blesyng Alualu-Tuiolemotu had a big tackle for loss in the series.

6:46: John-Keawe Sagapolutele is in at QB for the Buffanblu. On the first play, Koa Eldredge catches a short pass and is hit hard by five Sabers.

6:45: Vincent Terrell returns the kick 41 yards for Punahou to the Campbell 47.

    Good job Campbell. You guys played hard. Everyone was saying it would be a blowout. But you proved guys can hang.

    Campbell looks enegized. Who knows maybe they can turn the table in the OIA playoffs. In any case Tafai is back playing bossman. Too bad he had the unsportsmanlike on the Terrell tackle loss. That was the turning point. tafai just showed his guns, then flagged? Cmon man.

    Hmmm…they going to need all the help they need when playing Mililani. It will be there last game of the season and I am sure they will be hungry. Then again it could be like the ST. Louis game when they start getting momentum. Flag here flag there. Ooops we miss that touchdown should of not counted o well there is no instant reply so it doesn’t matter. Omg really. Then they will get momentum because ILH teams are doing good. O wait here we go OIA is getting momentum back let’s call a holding and maybe another call just so to make sure ILH teams are in the lead. GTF ottah here…I get it refs are not perfect but they not dumb either.
