10:07: An interception near the goal line by Roosevelt’s Logan Quinlan basically ends it.


10:06: Dicion hits Clarance Dabalos with a 28-yard pass to the Roosevelt 32. 22 seconds left in game.

0:03: Numerous late hits and a lot of clean hard hits are on display as these two teams are still going at each other.

9:56: Kolea Po-Macalino in at QB for Roosevelt.

9:46: Waialua ends up turning the ball over on downs, when Dicion dropped for 5 yards on a fourth and 1 on a quarterback keeper.

9:38: Pass interference pushes the Waialua ball to the Roosevelt 29.

9:37: Kaneke Gusman gets his third sack for Roosevelt, but Waialua is beyond midfield on a late hit penalty on the Rough Riders.

9:20: Third quarter ends.

9:17: Scott Chung catches his second TD pass of the night from Ogata, this time from 18 yards out. Paul Ho kicks the extra point. ROOSEVELT 28, WAIALUA 7, 1:58 left in third quarter.

9:06: On a fourth-down play, Waialua’s Lacar is sacked by Justice Osio. Roosevelt ball.

9:03: A Monteilh interception is called back due to a roughing the passer penalty on Roosevelt. The Rough Riders are also hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. The ball for Waialua goes all the way to the Roosevelt 32.

8:57: Four plays later, Ogata finds Brandon Ogata for a 37-yard TD. Segawa kicks the extra point. ROOSEVELT 22, Waialua 7, 8:35 left in third quarter.

8:52: After a 23-minute delay, play is resuming.

8:50: Fire truck arrives first. Then an ambulance. Dellatan is on a stretcher and is going to a hospital in the ambulance. The injury is not known at this time.

8:41: Ambulance or fire truck is on the way.

8:34: There is another injury timeout. Waialua’s Kade Dellatan receiving medical attention at midfield.

8:29: Myka Kukahiwa runs for 8 and 13 yards. Roosevelt ball at the Waialua 32.

8:13: Second quarter ends.

8:13: The Bulldogs can’t score on three runs up the middle as the half ends. The last snap came with the last second ticking off. Roosevelt holds.

8:09: Hoekstra beats Roosevelt DB Josh Maikui 1-on-1 over the middle to the 2. Waialua calls timeout with 39 seconds to go in half.

8:04: Kyler Dicion takes over as QB and throws a 15-yard pass to Justin Lorenzo to get that penalty yardage back.

8:02: A 35-yard apparent TD pass from Lacar to Hunter Apau is called back due to holding.

7:59: A Lacar to Hoekstra 14-yard connection brings the ball to the 50. Waialua timeout with 1:58 to go in second quarter.

7:58: Roosevelt goes for it on fourth down and 2 at the Waialua 36, but an Ogata pass falls incomplete. Waialua ball.

7:55: Three Lacar incomplete passes in a row lead to the Waialua punting unit coming on.

7:51: The dalay was 50 minutes between touchdown and extra-point try. Chase Akana — a St. Francis transfer — runs around right end for the 2-point conversion. ROOSEVELT 15, WAIALUA 6, 4:00 left in second quarter.

7:50: Ambulance is leaving the stadium. Play will resume in a few minutes.


7:43: Ambulance just arrived.

7:40: A change in plans. Am ambulance is coming, now, too. Apparently, the ambulance was en route to somewhere else when first called. Thus, the arrival of the fire truck.

7:37: Play is expected to resume in a few minutes. The players are warming up.

7:36: A fire truck is on the scene, taking Tyson Apau to a hospital. The Waialua player suffered an apparent broken ankle.

7:10: The player — Tyson Apau of the Bulldogs — has a temporary cast on his lower leg and foot. An ambulance is expected soon to take him to a hospital.

7:04: It’s a serious injury. Both head coaches are in the area of the player receiving medical attention.

7:01: The Rough Riders’ Aalona Monteilh returns the punt 42 yards down the left sideline for a touchdown. A Bulldogs player is hurt on the play and the extra point is pending. 4:00 minutes left in second quarter.

6:59: The Bulldogs stall and punt it away.

6:55: A Kyler Dicion sack of Ogata brings up a fourth and long. Three illegal procedure penalties push the ball the way back to the 45. Roosevelt punts.

6:52: An apparent 15-yard TD scramble by Ogata is called back on a holding penalty. Roosevelt ball at the Waialua 25.

6:48: An Ogata to Naihe 33-yard pass gives Roosevelt great field position at the Waialua 47.

6:42: Hunter Apau scores on an 8-yard TD fade pass to the left front corner of the end zone from Lacar. Ezekiel Sheridan kicks the extra point. ROOSEVELT 7, WAIALUA 7, 10:45 to go in second quarter.

6:41: Lacar’s 12-yard pass to Hunter Apau pushed the ball to the Rough Riders’ 21.

6:39: First quarter ends.

6:37: Waialua quickly gets into Roosevelt territory, thanks to a facemask penalty on the Rough Riders.

6:34: On first down from the Waialua 27, Roosevelt breaks the scoreless tie on Ogata’s TD pass to Scott Chung. Isaac Segawa kicks the extra point. ROOSEVELT 7, WAIALUA 0, 1:19 left in first quarter.

6:33: Waialua can’t move and punts from its own end zone.

6:29: On a fourth down and goal at the 1, Roosevelt running back Myka Kukahiwa is stopped for no gain by Waialaua’s Kyler Dicion.

6:20: Rough Riders get to the Waialua 38 on Ogata’s 28-yard to Devin Naihe.

6:19: Lacar’s pass intended for Hoekstra falls incomplete. Roosevelt ball on its own 34.

6:19: Bulldogs going for it on fourth and 12 from the 34.

6:17: Kayde Makuka returns the Roosevelt punt 41 yards to the Roosevelt

6:16: Rough Riders go 10 yards back to their 38 after two illegal procedure penalties. Roosevelt is back to punt

6:15: Sky Ogata in at QB for Roosevelt.

6:11: On a second-down play from the Rough Riders’ 5, Lacar throws a pass that is intercepted by Roosevelt’s Aalona Monteilh.

6:10: Justyce Lacar is in at QB for Rooevelt.


6:06: Waialua’s Sky Hoekstra returns the opening kickof 75 yards to the Roosevelt 15.
