Balangitao with a nice 16-yard run on the pitch but then an inside handoff and he fumbles after a big hit. Kalaheo’s Jonah Lene on the recovery.

Kalaheo’s Payton Barber rips off a 24-yard run to the 8 but the Mustangs are stopped.

Falcons three-and-out.

Mustangs drive inside the 15 but a tipped pass is picked off by Kalani’s Titan Bringas.

After a three-and-out to start the second half by Kalani and a punt that goes 9 yards, Kalaheo starts on the Falcons’ 35 with its best field position of the game.

After another Kalaheo three-and-out, junior Justin Taylor with a rare highlight for the Mustangs as he sacks Lim. Mustangs force three-and-out to end half.

Lim to Noah Ah Sam who gets open and then breaks a tackle for a 38-yard TD to make it 29-0, 3:59, Q2.

Kalaheo can’t get out of its own way. First a penalty on fourth-and-11 backs it up half the distance to the 12 and then another bad snap on the punt goes out of the back of the end zone for a Kalani safety. 22-0, 4:49, Q2.

A bad snap on the punt and Kalani takes over on the Kalaheo 2. The Falcons are stuffed twice but then score on the option pitch to Jake Lee for a 2-yard TD, but that is then called back by a hold. Lim finds Pearl Lee and she gets her first catch of the season for 8 yards but is stopped at the 2. Fourth-and-goal and Balangitao scores on his second 2-yard TD run. 20-0 Falcons, 5:56, Q2.

Wakea Kanahele‘s INT is wiped out by a personal foul roughing-the-passer penalty. That gives Kalaheo its first first down but the Mustangs will punt four plays later.

Falcons will start their third drive to begin the second quarter at the Kalaheo 42. Lim hits Cortez for 33 yards and then Balangitao with a 2-yard TD run. 13-0 Falcons as Jordan Neufeldt blocks the extra point.

Kalaheo lets Dillon Cortez get wide open deep on third-and-23 for a 30-yard TD from Logan Lee. Falcons take 7-0 lead, 1:43, Q1.

Kalani’s Rayce Manriki with a 24-yard punt return after a Kalaheo three-and-out and the Falcons starts just inside Kalaheo territory.

Kalani gets a first down on three Nathaniel Balangitao runs but then turns it over on downs.


Kalaheo gets the ball first and gets 9 yards on three Payton Barber runs and punts.
