  11. AUWE November 11, 2016 9:14 pm

Kapolei actually doing a heck of a job between the 20s! Wouldn’t be surprised if they come out with over 300 plus on offense. Getting points on da board is the trick thou, unfortunately!

  12. Red Raider 4 Life November 11, 2016 9:16 pm

Wheres that guy that said Kapolei was going to hang 60 on Kahuku? Maybe they get chance in the second half. We will see.

  13. 88 November 11, 2016 9:22 pm

I think JJs offense would work if he had the athletes. Unfortunately he doesn’t have enough and his offense is playing a team stacked with them. They should be good next year.

  14. Paper Crane November 11, 2016 9:37 pm

@88; that’s what I wrote when they lost to Farrington like Kapolei’s enduring stamina wasn’t all there and so that’s what happen the last couple of minutes against Farrington whereas their DL just shut down and it may just happen during the 2nd half let’s watch and see?

  15. chloropicrin November 11, 2016 9:38 pm

Kahukuʻs defensive backfield is the best in the state, and that is what separates them on defense against passing teams. They are tall, long and fast. Teams like Waianae, Kamehameha and Farrington all have hammahs in the front seven, but the achilles is always the DBʻs, Kahuku does not have that problem, so when you that, and an aggressive front 7 its game over as Defense wins championships.

  16. Kapolei JJ November 11, 2016 9:38 pm

I think JJ is over rated

  17. dirty plays by waianae November 11, 2016 9:41 pm

JJ isn’t overrated. Only stupid people think that. Kahuku is just that good. Great season for Kapolei. Next year, the team going be even better. State finals rematch next week is gonna be good.

  18. chloropicrin November 11, 2016 9:44 pm

@Alpha: Thats a great idea about turning on the radio, Felipe is so annoying he gets excited over every little thing and then his personal opinions are often times biased. Uncle Rory is getting a little better as times go on.

  19. dirty plays by waianae November 11, 2016 9:47 pm

Kapolei can move the ball on Kahuku and they look good but inside the 20s is when you get less space to work with. Kapolei looks like a team on the rise but Big Red is still at the top of the mountain in the OIA.

  20. Alpha November 11, 2016 9:53 pm

JJ not overrated, kapolei players been slowly checking out mentally before the half. . .

  21. chloropicrin November 11, 2016 9:56 pm

If Vae Tata wins another title, does anyone think he bolts for college if offered position? Or say an ILH school? Heʻs a great coach.

  22. Kapolei JJ November 11, 2016 10:04 pm

    J.J waste time.

  23. Pick Six November 11, 2016 10:06 pm

Kahuku’s backup equalled Tagovailoa’s touchdown total in this game so far….1

  24. dirty plays by waianae November 11, 2016 10:11 pm

If Vae Tata is offered a big time college position as a position coach or coordinator, I think he’s leaving Kahuku. He’s young. He going make way more money than his teaching position at the school + $600 for the season as head football coach at Kahuku. But unless he actively applying for those positions, I dont’ think Kahuku fans need to worry. I dont’ think he going leave for an ILH or another OIA school either. He’s already on the top of the mountain right now and will probably be there for a long time.

  25. Kapolei JJ November 11, 2016 10:15 pm

This is worst then the sugar ball. Worst then last year’s score against Kahuku. Come on man JJ.

  26. Ohhreally November 11, 2016 10:16 pm

This what happens when the media hypes up June and that unstoppable offense.. What about that red raider physical offense??

  28. Tutu Kane Ale November 11, 2016 10:21 pm

To Kapolei’s AD, forget UH Coach Rolo whereas June and Darren should be free agent after this season,…make okole when you get smashed mouth to the max especially having an overrated Pro/College OC.

  31. Pick Six November 11, 2016 10:32 pm

All these pass happy offenses look good until you play Kahuku. Next week same story.

  32. 808 sports fan November 11, 2016 10:34 pm

Coach Rolo Definitely needs to get Vae Tata to be his DC!!! Kahuku offense was impressive tonight. Cant wait to watch the rematch next week

  33. Jason Keuma November 11, 2016 10:36 pm

Pick six- tagovailoa threw two touchdowns.

One to his team mate, and the other was to kahuku.

  34. Red Raider 4 Life November 11, 2016 10:41 pm

They all sound real good…Till they get punch in the mouth…

  35. Manley November 11, 2016 10:41 pm

Wow.Wow..Kahuku is on another level. Their program is college level runned. The defense adjustments speed is unreal. The physicality of the players is unreal. The freshman quarterback has matured. The whole defense makes adjustments from the line, lbs, corners and safeties AT ONE TIME. Sorry, but St.Louis will have to go empty this year again.

  36. mokihana November 11, 2016 10:44 pm

Proud of you, Coach Vae, St Louis School , Class of 1994. You represent Kalaepohaku well. There are no losers here.

  37. Pick Six November 11, 2016 10:57 pm

Jason, i stand corrected……lol! I gotta agree with Alpha, it seemed like Kapolei was slowly checking out of this one mentally. Same situation with Farrington in the OIA Championship. Everybody hits us with there best shot in the beginning and then boom, your down by 4 touchdowns just like that and the defense starts to tighten its grip and the offense starts to go to work.

  38. Alpha November 11, 2016 11:05 pm

If your going to proud, be proud of everything. Don’t forget how he ended up back on the islands. Kahuku wasn’t his 1st Choice, they took a chance after Lee Leslie left. . .

  39. grabum.bythe.puppy.gate November 11, 2016 11:10 pm

kapoleis offense is talented enough to match kahukus talented defense but the dc coaching for kahuku was better. kapolei will be a force next year

  40. grabum.bythe.puppy.gate November 11, 2016 11:13 pm

whats absurd is that the hpw admins keep letting the little punk from sandy beach “808 RR4L” posting, delete him please he is not from kahuku

Kapoleis offense is talented enough to match Kahuku’s defense? Were you watching the same game as the rest of Hawaii?

  44. Ohhreally November 11, 2016 11:33 pm

I’m sorry but any coach with that much talent would have the same result. Dominance!!! They’ve been doing it years before Tata. But I will say the kids love him, his killer mentality is a reflection on the field.

  45. grabum.bythe.puppy.gate November 11, 2016 11:51 pm
