GAME NIGHT 10/21: Damien/St. Francis

The Monarchs won the first meeting in an instant classic, coming back from 13 down in the third quarter to score 20 unanswered points and win 20-7. Two weeks ago, the Saints shut out Damien 19-0 to end the ILH first round. Nothing was on the line in that game. Was it a sign of things to come, or were the Monarchs laying low, waiting for this one?

Kickoff is 3 p.m.

  1. Been There Done That October 22, 2017 11:53 am

Makes no sense how St Francis beat Damien twice this season against Damien beating St Francis once and now they have to play a 4th game for the ILH D2 Championship and spot in States. If Damien gets the win next week then they’d tie the series for this season but St Francis on the other hand has to beat Damien 3 times to make it into States. Bogus!

I feel your pain. Just volleyball too. 1. Le Jardin 2. HbA, 3. Damien 4. SHA. 1st round. 2nd round was double elimination round. 1.Le Jardin 2.Damien 3. SHA 4. HBA

    2 round semifinals playoffs
    Le Jardin beats SHA
    Daimen beats HBA

    Loser bracket
    SHA beats HBA
HBA is out. SHA waits 4 loser of Damien vs Le Jardin.

Le Jardin beat Daimen. So le jardin waits for the winner of loser bracket.

Damien beats SHA so SHA is out.
    Finals
    Damien beat Le Jardin
Next day Le Jardin wins the title Champs.

If Damien won that game on Thursday. They would of played for the championship on Friday against Le Jardin. But if Daimen lost they would of played HBA for 2nd or 3rd seed for States on Tuesday. Stupid because states starts on Wednesday for Divion 2.

Remind you HBA was sitting for 5 days of rest. Damien was playing Tuesday-Thursday. ILH Committee wanted Damien vs HBA to play next Tuesday for seeding for 2nd and 3rd States for ILH seeding.
