The nightcap of the OIA semifinal doubleheader at Aloha Stadium pits No. 3 Mililani against No. 6 Waianae in a rematch of the 2016 OIA quarterfinals, won 36-33 by the Seariders.

Mauga recovers the kickoff for Waianae.

Tasi Malepeai with a sack, but he’s kicked out of the game after the next play after an unsportsmanlike penalty. Did not see what happened. Rod York calls timeout. Kaai Tamboan-Kaeo with a 25-yard TD run and the sophomore gets Waianae on the board. 42-6, 2:00

Trojans with 167 rushing yards and counting against the Waianae defense. Gabriel converts a fourth-and-1. Gabriel has a receiver wide open but Kana’i Mauga tips it at the line. Gabriel 1-yard TD run. 35-0, :21. What a first half by the Trojans.

Waianae goes for it fourth-and-1 on its 33 and the Seariders jump offsides. Seariders try a trick play on the pitch to Skyler Kaleiohi, who looks to throw deep. He is drilled by Shane Kady as he releases the ball and Storm Su’a picks it off.

Trojans are a machine. Five plays, two completions and three runs and they go 80 yards. Tuivaiave-Olomua’s 28-yard TD run is his third of the game. Mililani’s OL is opening up holes everywhere on the Waianae D. 28-0, 7:53.

Tacgere overthrows a receiver on third down and Waianae will punt. Bad snap on the punt but a flag is down. Illegal participation on Mililani. First down Waianae. Third-and-1 and Darius Muasau shoots in for the tackle behind the line to stop Rosario. Seariders will punt.

END 1: Total yards, Mililani 178, Waianae 25

Tuivaiave-Olomua runs through half the Waianae defense on a 15-yard TD run. That was impressive 21-0, :39.

Three Rosario runs net only 1 yards as Mililani’s run defense is stout. Nice play at the line by Ezra Save. Punt.

Kilifi Malepeai has a 31-yard TD called back by a hold. Malepeai gets 6 on third-and-3 to move the chains. Gabriel has his first read covered, scrambles, throws one up into double coverage and Shavez Kealoha-Kekahuna picks it off in the end zone.

Waianae starts on its 20. Rosario in at RB. Eteuati Lui gets 8 on third-and-5 on the fullback dive. Rosario gets 8 after making a DL miss. Mykah Tuiolemotu with a tackle for loss on Tacgere on second-and-2 and then Spencer Santos gets in front of a pass for a pick for the Trojans defense.

Trojans off to the races as Gabriel hits two passes for 35 yards. Gabriel to Josiah Sampaga for a 20-yard TD. Waianae is lost on defense. 14-0, 7:39.

Seariders start on their 43. Justin Tacgere at QB. Elijah Lujan at RB and he gets the first carry and loses 1. Handoff to Kaai Tamboan-Kaeo for 2 and then incomplete on third down. No sign of Rosario, who was a captain.

Raysen Motoyama with a 23-yard return. Mililani starts on its 40. Dillon Gabriel at QB and he is drilled on the first play as he lets the ball go. Incomplete. After two runs, Ryan Chang is open down the field but is absolutely clobbered by Sam Freeney. Defenseless receiver, easy penalty, brutal hit. Chang is down. He eventually is up and able to walk off on his own. Freeney has been ejected. Gabriel evades a sack and then hits Motoyama for 22 yards to the 2. Jalen Tuivaiave-Olomua 2-yard TD run. 7-0 Trojans, 10:45.

Mililani will receive.
