You’ve heard it a million times. It’s not where you start, but where you finish.

The Saint Louis Crusaders end the 2016 season atop the final Honolulu Star-Advertiser Football Top 10 rankings of the season released Monday.

Saint Louis (11-1) replaces Kahuku (11-2), which had been ranked No. 1 for the entire season, after beating the Red Raiders 30-14 in the inaugural Open Division state final of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA State Football Championships on Saturday night at Aloha Stadium.

No. 2 Kahuku had its string of 16 consecutive weeks atop the rankings snapped dating back to the state final last year in Division I. Saint Louis held the top spot going into the final game of the season only to lose to the second-ranked Red Raiders.

In fact, when the No. 1 team plays the No. 2 team, the No. 2-ranked squad has won each of the last five meetings, including the last three state finals (No. 2 Mililani def. No. 1 Punahou in 2014).

Saint Louis and Kahuku have combined to hold the top spot in 24 of the last 27 weeks the poll has been published.

Kapolei (10-3) closes the year with its highest finishing ranking ever at No. 3, followed by Punahou and Waianae.

No. 4 Punahou (7-3) hadn’t finished outside of the top three in the final rankings since 2010.

Mililani (9-3), which beat ‘Iolani 31-20 in the final of the Division I state tournament, jumped ahead of Farrington at No 6 followed by the Govs (8-4).

Kamehameha (3-6), which had its first losing since 1992 and lost all five games against Punahou and Saint Louis, finishes the year No. 8 despite finding itself outside of the top 10 late in the season for the first time in the six-year history of the poll.

Lahainaluna (9-4), which won its first Division II state championship with a 21-14 win over Kapaa on Friday at Aloha Stadium, closes the year ranked No. 9. It’s the first time the Lunas have been ranked since Week 14 in 2014.

‘Iolani (5-8) is ranked to finish a season as a Division I team for the first time at No. 10.

Nobody gives a rats @$$ what you respect. How many times do I have to tell you? You are here to entertain me. You can’t come on here talk shet about high school kids and their families and than think your respect or opinions mean anything. You are my Clown EducationAl85. Not entertain me before the data on your sisters phone runs out and I don’t hear from you for another 2 weeks.
    ————————-
Can Gaylord come up with anything less interesting or less offensive? I mean we know you are trying, but really? Is this the best you can come up with?

    1) No I come here to talk shit about you. You are the town idiot. But at least now you have a chance to be on the team as the new Gaylord 2.0.

    2) You are my clown – I am happy to be your clown. It’s better than being an idiot that confuses simple vocabulary words. Isn’t comical and silly the same thing? HAHAHA! Maybe if you are like 2-3 years old it is you moron!

    3) “Not entertain me before the data on your sisters phone runs out and I don’t hear from you for another 2 weeks.” – I am going to assume you mean “now” entertain me. Unlike you I will not turn a simple typo into an insult.

My last post was a 12:48pm. You commented back at 5:24pm. In 4 hours and 36 minutes, your comeback is “entertain me before the data on my sister’s phone runs out and I don’t hear from you for another 2 weeks?”

REALLY? Are you that dumb? OMG! Can someone help Gaylord? First of all:

    1) I have no sister, so how can I use her phone?

    2) I am typing on a computer, hence there are no data issues.

    3) If you check my pattern of posting I am never away for 2 weeks.

Really, this is the best you got? “Use my sister’s phone, run out of data, and disappear for 2 weeks?” Really Gaylord? And this is supposed to upset me? The only thing this does is make me feel sorry for you and to show the world just how big of an idiot you are.

And you took 4 hours and 36 minutes to come back with this.

“Oh Gaylord, you really got me! How do you do it! Your insults are so witty!” Like I said before, you are on your way! You are the next Lenny Bruce!

Just like Kahuku Alumni……copy and paste.

I think the admin needs to let us know again which users have multiple screen names. I would assume your one of them…..probably Kahuku Alumni or Education First or both lol!

I am a one name wrecking crew my friend. But that’s the difference between having one name & multiple names. People of Laie get fooled because they all think the same. Great example, Manti & Ronaiah. It was no “Hoax”

Pick Six “I think the admin needs to let us know again which users have multiple screen names. I would assume your one of them…..probably Kahuku Alumni or Education First or both lol!”

Okay. You understand that just because multiple people disagree with what the idiot kahuku fans (like 88, anywaaays, and you, as opposed to the smart ones) say doesn’t mean they’re ALL the same person, right? Or are you that locked into your red raider house of mirrors that you think nobody can possibly disagree with you?

If so, then that’s really sad.
