Led by captains Jake Nakasone and James Mizota, the Iolani boys wrestling team beat Hillcrest of California to win the Moanalua Duals on Tuesday night. Fellow captain Brian Pascua was not needed, winning his finals match by forfeit in the 42-27 win. Angela Peralta is still on the move. The two-time OIA champion vaulted from No. 10 to No. 5 in the latest Honolulu Prep World girls wrestling pound-for-pound rankings after beating all comers at the Officials tournament and then doing it again at Paani three days later. The two-day Paani Challenge, recognized as the only all-girls wrestling tournament in the nation, wrapped up Tuesday at Punahou school. Fifty schools and 119 participants competed with Waianae, Roosevelt and Lahainaluna leading the way with three individual champions each in the open division.
