Moanalua road-bound in March

In case there’s any confusion, the OIA baseball game between Moanalua and Kailua is set for Saturday, 3 p.m., at Kailua’s field. There was some question about whether there would be testing earlier in the day (ACT) or not. According to Moanalua coach Scott Yamada, there is testing. Executive decision: HHSAA voting results

Here are the recommendations from the athletic directors’ conference on Kauai. The conference began on Thursday, ended Saturday and resulted in the following approved proposals. The class of 2012 was inducted into the HHSAA Hall of Honor tonight, hosted by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association. The banquet was at the Sheraton Waikiki, a full house with 12 magnificent student-athletes. More photos below. Some were video captures. Fun night for 12 outstanding individuals!

Kapolei honors signees

It was a special time for a special class, which is why they made a morning of it at Kapolei. The Hurricanes gathered, 17 strong, for a ceremony to honor the college-bound student athletes. Among the 17, who were with family at the breakfast event in the school gym, was pitcher Trey Kamachi-Allen. The senior is on his way to Arizona State, his school of choice.
