Tagovailoa’s 13th offer: Louisville

Louisville has reached out to the islands for a third time in this football offseason. The Cardinals, who already have scholarship offers to Kapolei’s Sean Auwae and Kaiser’s Michael Eletise, made an offer to Saint Louis’ Tua Tagovailoa. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance posted the news on its Facebook page this morning. Nebraska came calling for Saint Louis sophomore Tua Tagovailoa today. The Cornhuskers became the 12th FBS college football program to offer the quarterback a scholarship. Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance shared the news on its Facebook page. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound quarterback’s updated offer list: has offers from UCLA, Texas Tech, Hawaii, USC, Colorado, Ole Miss, Washington State, Washington, UNLV, Arizona, Utah, Nebraska. (UPDATE, 7:05 p.m. Utah came in with an offer, making it two offers today for Tua Tagovailoa.) The Pac-12 Conference can’t seem to resist the immense talent of Saint Louis sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Arizona and Utah are the 10th and 11th universities, respectively, to offer a football scholarship to the southpaw. Seven of the offers come from Pac-12 schools. The three top offensive line prospects in the class of 2016 received offers to play in the Blue-Gray All-American Bowl today. Toleafoa Sean Auwae of Kapolei, Michael Eletise of Kaiser and Nate Herbig of Saint Louis got the offers after participating in the Blue-Grey Regional Combine at Saint Louis. At 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, it’s not easy to miss big Nate Herbig. The San Diego State Aztecs didn’t. They got their intel after Herbig’s performance at the Nike Opening in Los Angeles on Sunday. Of the many football players who trekked to Las Vegas for the Pylon 7v7 Championships over the weekend, a few stood out.
