Saint Louis remains No. 25 in the nation

Saint Louis, the unanimous No. 1 team in the state, remained at No. 25 in the country in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 released Sunday. The Crusaders (7-0, 4-0 ILH D-I) ran their overall winning streak to 12 games and have now defeated Punahou three times since their last loss — 33-20 to the Buffanblu last year. Quarterback Chevan Cordeiro and outside linebacker Jordan Botelho chat after No. 1 Saint Louis defeated No. 4 Punahou 40-20 on homecoming night, Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at Aloha Stadium. Cordeiro ran for two TDs and passed for two more, while Botelho forced a fumble and had three sacks, all in the first half, as the Crusaders clinched the ILH first-round title.

Saint Louis remained undefeated this season with a 23-12 win over Kamehameha on Friday at Aloha Stadium. Voters in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 were not impressed however as the Crusaders fell two spots to No. 25 in the national rankings released on Sunday.
