Saint Louis remained undefeated this season with a 23-12 win over Kamehameha on Friday at Aloha Stadium.

Voters in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 were not impressed however as the Crusaders fell two spots to No. 25 in the national rankings released on Sunday.

Saint Louis quarterback Chevan Cordeiro threw for 376 yards against the Warriors and accounted for both Saint Louis touchdowns. Cordeiro has thrown for 769 yards and accounted for nine touchdowns in his last two games.

Saint Louis has won 11 straight games overall heading into Saturday’s ILH regular-season finale against Punahou. The Buffanblu are the last team to beat the Crusaders — 33-20 last season.

Bingham (Utah), which shut out Kahuku 17-0 in the Las Vegas last month, cracked the top 10 for the first time this season at No. 10.

Mater Dei (Calif.) remained No. 1, followed by IMG Academy (Fla.) and Grayson (Ga.). Bishop Gorman (Nev.) is No. 12.

All theses National Rankings are unreal. They encourage blowouts. The starters are at risk for injury, staying in games that have been decided, just for team and personal stats. This is High School, not the NCAA.

  2. ??? October 2, 2017 11:05 am

STL should schedule Bishop Gorman for next season, they should play at least 2 mainland teams a year.

  3. Alpha October 2, 2017 11:32 am

Who cares where STL is ranked in the nation anymore. All that matters is their the defending state champs and the team to beat. . .

Iolani’s victory over St. Francis this past weekend is JUST ANOTHER VALIDATION THAT WENDELL LOOK IS THE BEST HS FB COACH IN HAWAII AND ARGUABLY THE COUNTRY LIKE I’VE ALWAYS SAID!!! With a JV sized team and that was woefully physically and talent inferior, Coach Luke finds a way to out-scheme, out-coach and teach his players the skills to beat the poly recruit laden St Francis team. ANY QUESTIONS HATERS???!!! My mom and I gave the REAL Red Raiders a standing ovation after the game. Coach Look emphasizes academics and still wins.

DISCLAIMER: I didn’t attend Iolani or play HS sports because of an asthma condition so my opinions are objective and unbiased.

  7. TooMeke October 2, 2017 1:44 pm

Glad their still in Top 25 – good for all Hawaii HS athletes to be represented in these polls – even if they’re all for show.

  8. Outlaw October 2, 2017 5:32 pm

@E. First… So you are an Couch QB, well, your record is undefeated, no offense to anyone with asthma, but at least you admitted it.

  9. TooMeke October 3, 2017 12:03 pm

Asthma? Big deal. 1 puff Advair PO BID and you just fine. Supplement with albuterol rescue inhaler 1-2 puffs PO PRN for acute exacerbation.

Didn’t play sports because of asthma? Your choice. Plenty athletes have asthma…including HS athletes. They just keep it controlled with meds.

Don’t explain yo life son. Especially repeatedly. Deal with it and move on. Duh.

Fake Education first please get it right. I didn’t play HS sports. I was too busy with 88 and anywaaays playing in the marching band at Kahuku. I rose the GPS for that school.

  11. TooMeke October 4, 2017 1:29 pm

Do you mean “raised” the GPS???? Maybe “increased” or “elevated”?

    HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

    “rose”…

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Education Last, you are such a clown. You’re a sad sad man who is lonely and never got to play for a team like Kahuku. We have the best football team and the best academics in the state and we don’t have to recruit and steal children from their homes like the ILH does. Like I said before, the ILH should just make a super team and travel like IMG academy, because that’s the only thing that their prestige is based off of. Here in Kahuku, we’re ROOTED NOT RECRUITED. For all the haters that talk about college and career outcomes, there are better things than going to some fancy mainland university. Being with your community is way better.

Fake Ed 1st (aka my stalker aka phILHarmonic) boasts about “citing facts and statistics” like it takes some kind of genius to cut and paste internet links that are skewed to your argument. Hey loser, go back to your imaginary life of wealth and privilege as everyone knows that the anonymous dufus who needs to brag about a life no one can verify actually doesn’t have one.

BOOM, DROPS THE 🎤, HIP HOP STYLE!!!!

Look it’s my wannabe.. I guess since he had no friends, he thinks that since I have so much followers on here he can pretend to be me and be popular. Is it working my little shadow?

  17. Education First October 5, 2017 4:24 pm

phILHarmonic=fake stalker 1st Ed. If you think you the board is so clueless that they don’t notice you posting a rebuttal everytime I call out fake Ed (i.e you) and your glowing opinion of him (i.e. yourself) you’re even more dimwitted then TooMeke. Do yourself a favor and take a nap. Will help you forget your sad circumstances. PS…your attempts to sound “mature” in your phILHarmonic posts are hilarious….especially when you slip up and fall back to Fake Ed mode. Thanks for the laughs. Mom thinks you’re a hoot.

Education First. Just an unbiased observer here and you’re clearly a momma’s boy who makes excuses for not playing sports but portrays himself to be a sports expert (aka keyboard warrior). You chastise people who you claim to be immature yet you resort to name calling. My guess is you have flat feet, doesn’t have a friend that is not your mother and this your weekly social activity. You need a life!
