Tagovailoa’s 14th offer: Arizona St.

Scholarship offer No. 14 has arrived for Saint Louis quarterback Tua Tagovailoa: Arizona State. Pacific Islands Athletic Association shared the news on its Facebook page tonight. Tagovailoa last received an offer on May 9 (Louisville). He passed for 2,571 yards and 33 touchdowns in 10 games with just three interceptions. Waianae’s Tanielu has 13 D-I football offers

The Division I football scholarship offers are coming in fast for former Waianae defensive tackle Handsome Tanielu, according to Scout.com. Tanielu, who graduated from Waianae in 2010, played most recently at Snow College in Utah. Thirteen Division I schools have presented a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-2, 310-pound Tanielu — Boise State, BYU, Fresno State, Houston, Kansas, Louisville, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Penn State, Tulsa and Utah State. Another nine schools have shown interest.

Summer isn’t quite here yet, but Toleafoa Sean Auwae keeps working. The consistent work by the 6-foot-4, 305-pound junior from Kapolei hasn’t gone unnoticed. It’s been less than 24 hours since Oregon State offered a football scholarship to eighth grader Tausili Fiatoa. The Kahuku Intermediate School student is the first athlete in recent memory — going back to former Saint Louis offensive lineman Solomon Koehler — to receive an offer at such a young age. It’s a whole new world, maybe. Tausili Fiatoa, an eighth grader who plays for the Laie Park Red Raiders in the Hawaii State Jr. Prep Sports football league, received a football scholarship offer from Oregon State on Thursday.
