Kamehameha’s Noa says he’s going to Hawaii

The top two wide receivers in the state this past season are staying home for college. Kamehameha’s Kumoku Noa announced on Twitter on Monday night that he will stay home and play for Hawaii, joining Mililani’s Kalakaua Timoteo at UH. Kamehameha’s Alema Kapoi was leaning toward committing to Navy when visits to West Point and the Air Force suddenly opened his recruitment up. Over the weekend, Navy closed the door on it. Saint Louis tight end Tristan Nichols will be going to play football at Pima Community College in Arizona next fall, and he’s been getting attention from Division I colleges, according to his dad, Tre Nichols. Tristan Nichols, who is 6 feet 4 and 220 pounds, is busy playing basketball for the top-ranked Crusaders this season. ‘Iolani’s Makekau picks Navy

‘Iolani senior Keoni-Kordell Makekau said Friday he has committed to Navy and will sign with the Midshipmen next Wednesday on National Letter of Intent Signing Day. The speedy 5-foot-10, 170-pound wide receiver visited Navy back in November and took in a home game against SMU. Kaiser multi-purpose player Nic Tom told Hawaii Prep World on Friday that he is waiting to hear back from Hawaii before making a decision between the Warriors and Air Force for his college football career. Former Farrington outside linebacker Jeremiah Pritchard orally committed to play for Hawaii, according to Rivals.com. Pritchard made his commitment Saturday. He played for the Governors as a junior and went to Silverado High in Las Vegas for his senior year. He was one of four Farrington players to transfer to Silverado before last season.
