Mililani drops to No. 21 in MaxPreps

The computer is fickle, to say the least. Mililani slipped four notches to No. 21 in the latest CBS MaxPreps Top 100 Computer Football Rankings released on Monday. The Trojans (13-0) won the state football championship on Nov. 21. In the same rankings, Punahou (8-1) dropped nine spots to No. 51. The work has been done, and now the Mililani Trojans can see a ripple effect. The Trojans, who won the state football championship on Nov. 21, entered the USA Today Super 25 national rankings on Monday at No. 25. The Mililani Trojans are getting a little more attention since their upset of Punahou in the Division I championship game at the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA Football State Championships on Friday. Mililani (13-0) rose 12 spots to No. 16 in the CBS MaxPreps National Computer Ratings, which were released today. Punahou (8-1) fell 15 notches to No. 34. Mililani’s last man standing did it all. While the Trojans suffered key injuries to right tackle Jordan Agasiva and running back Vavae Malepeai, quarterback McKenzie Milton never lost focus of the task at hand.
