Punahou moved up 56 spots to No. 75 in the MaxPreps computer national rankings released Sunday. Hawaii’s top-ranked team, the Buffanblu (6-0, 3-0 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I) are the only team in state in MaxPreps’ top 100. Punahou running back Wayne Taulapapa gave his oral commitment to BYU on Tuesday, according to Rivals.com. Taulapapa, who is 5 feet 11 and 202 pounds, has rushed for 558 yards and eight TDs while playing in five games for No. 2 Punahou (5-0, 2-0 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I) this season.
