Prep games canceled on Wednesday

The ILH has announced that all baseball and softball games — and a golf match — scheduled for today have been postponed due to weather. In ILH softball, the Pac-Five vs. Mid-Pacific game has been moved to Friday at 4 p.m. at Ala Wai. Campbell ace Ramos signs with Oregon

Campbell senior Markus Ramos signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Oregon this morning at a signing ceremony at the Elks Lodge in Waikiki. Ramos played multiple positions, but has one of the top fastballs in the state. He is also a starting wide receiver on Campbell’s football team, which is currently entering the semifinal round of the Division I state championships. Dozens of signees were present at the ceremony. HHSAA offers digital ticketing option

The HHSAA announced on Friday that has added a digital option for fans who want to purchase tickets to upcoming state tournaments. The option is being run by GoFan, a digital ticketing application that is free to download on both Apple and Android stores. Search “HHSAA” to purchase tickets, then show the receipt at the gate on your smart phone. The first tickets will be available for the state football and volleyball tournaments. Govs’ Sila rankles Campbell in conquest

Farrington defensive lineman Foi Sila made life difficult for Campbell’s offense on Friday night. The 5-foot-11, 241-pound junior was in the face of Sabers quarterback Kawika Ulufale all night, sacking him three times, and he broke through for another tackle for loss on Campbell running Tasi Faumui. Jr. Prep Sports football has created quite a pipeline of players to varsity football in Hawaii and the mainland. There are 16 different organizations in Hawaii playing tackle and flag football under the Jr. Prep Sports banner. Radford’s Camryn Butz won her third race of the season, finishing first during an OIA meet at Central Oahu Regional Park on Saturday. Butz finished the 5-kilometer race in 20 minutes, 40.35 seconds. The Rams took the top three spots with Karla Angulo finishing in 21:35.48 and Taryn Trigler finishing in 21:40.43. In the boys 5k, Kalaheo’s Avery Torres finished first in 16:34.39.
