Every year is the year of the Trojan. Mililani, for long an also-ran in state football, has had a player selected first team All-State every year since 2002. That is the longest active streak. Welch, a receiver for Saint Louis, was named first team by both the Honolulu Advertiser and Honolulu Star-Bulletin in 1997, 1998 and 1999.
