He’s been known to defer when it comes to media attention, but ‘Iolani junior Keoni-Kordell Makekau has emerged under the spotlight to become a true three-sport juggernaut. He chatted with Hawaii Prep World after another busy day on the track, winning the ILH championship in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.01 seconds. Leslie to coach McCall-Donnelly High in Idaho

Lee Leslie, who spent one year as the Kahuku football coach, is the new head coach at McCall-Donnelly High in McCall, Idaho, according to KTVB.com. Leslie went 9-3 with the Red Raiders, who made it as far as the state semifinals, but left after one season to return to his family in Idaho. Maybe it’s the Mike Cavanaugh effect. Nebraska became the 15th FBS school to make a football scholarship offer to Mililani junior Vavae Malepeai recently. The Cornhuskers have Cavanaugh, the former UH offensive line coach on staff, and Nebraska was represented recently by Cavanaugh and other staffers during a tour of the islands. The University of Michigan offered Kaiser junior Michael Eletise a football scholarship today. The Wolverines are the 32nd FBS program to make an offer to the 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive lineman.
