Film photographer showcases Kahuku football

The promises keep arriving via e-mail, phone calls and snail mail in Ewa Beach. Tua Tagovailoa is, with no doubt, the state’s most coveted junior-to-be. It will be “Hello Northern California” for Nate Herbig next fall. Saint Louis’ 6-foot-4, 320-pound offensive lineman made an oral commitment to accept a football scholarship to Stanford on Thursday. He made the announcement on a taped segment with sportscasters Rob DeMello and Sam Spangler on KHON-2 TV on the 6 p.m. news. Saint Louis offensive lineman Nate Herbig will make his oral commitment Thursday on a taped segment with sportscaster Rob DeMello on KHON-2 TV news. Herbig, who has been offered scholarships to play football at nine Division I FBS schools, planned to tape the segment Thursday morning. Saint Louis offensive lineman Nate Herbig is leaving quite an impression at Stanford this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 320-pound senior-to-be received an offer from the Cardinal this afternoon, his ninth from a BCS school. The Nebraska Cornhuskers became the third FBS school in less than three days to make a football scholarship offer to him.
