Reliable place-kicker Kekoa Sasaoka is playing for Kahuku this season after transferring earlier this summer from Farrington. Sasaoka, who is 5 feet 9 and 219 pounds, made the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s All-State second team as a junior for the Governors a year ago. Earlier this week, Farrington coach Randall Okimoto confirmed Sasaoka transferred to the OIA rival Red Raiders. Kahuku senior defensive end Bradlee Anae did not offer the information, but it turns out that he received a football scholarship offer from BYU a while back. It just so happened that at the Red Raiders’ practice Thursday, teammate Keala Santiago walked by.
