MOA then drove to the FAR 37 and stalled despite two great fake punt calls. One snap went to the up back, who ran for a first down. As quarterback of the Buffanblu, Tuileta went 29-5 as a starter and threw for 6,962 yards and 77 touchdowns, ranking fourth all-time in career passing. Of the […]

Tigers showed off the pride of McKinley

By Nick Abramo on August 29, 2015

Yeah, yeah, you could say McKinley sucks, but it wouldn’t be true. The Tigers came, they saw and they got blitzed. They left the North Shore on Friday night with their heads held high. No complaining. They played out of their league, so to speak, and paid the price. Kahuku beat them 78-0. But remember, the scoreboard is only one thing. The fans never gave up. Aside from a few plays where they looked a bit befuddled, the Tigers players […]

Another big night for Castle’s McGoldrick

By Jason Kaneshiro on August 29, 2015

Jeremy McGoldrick packed a full night of production into a part-time performance on Friday. Castle coach Nelson Maeda said McGoldrick missed practices due to illness during the week and the junior receiver/defensive back didn’t start against Waipahu on Friday. Maeda said the illness left McGoldrick “fatigued” and the coaching staff limited his playing time to the second and fourth quarters. In that time, McGoldrick caught four passes from quarterback Wille Ewaliko, three going for touchdowns. McGoldrick finished the game with […]

Kahuku QB situation worthy of a look

By Nick Abramo on August 29, 2015

Kahuku is the No. 4 team in the state and the 127th-ranked team in the nation. There aren’t many people around who would question the Red Raiders’ defense or running game or the offensive line’s ability to move the pile and open sometimes gaping holes. The situation is a quite a bit different than a year ago, when the offense struggled and the defense carried the load. But there are similar aspects to it. While the offense is far from […]

By Paul Honda on August 28, 2015

Finally approaching kickoff for the varsity game. The JV game had a wild second half. The JV Mules rallied from a 20-6 deficit for a 32-28 win. Kalani Takase is reporting that Waianae’s starting QB, Jaren Ulu, will sit the first half for disciplinary reasons. FIRST QUARTER Quinn Searle, a 6-foot-2, 145-pound junior, started at QB for the Seariders. Both teams have punted on their opening series. WAIN has the ball back at its 30. Searle fumbles for the second […]
