Buffanblu fall out of MaxPreps’ top 100

Punahou dropped 42 places to No. 117 in the MaxPreps national computer rankings released Sunday. The Buffanblu — No. 1 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser statewide poll — hosted ‘Iolani on Friday and picked up a hard-earned 35-23 win. Mililani is the only other Hawaii school ranked in the MaxPreps top 100. St. Francis’ win was a highlight of Week 9

St. Francis’ 12-9 win over Pac-Five at Aloha Stadium on Friday was one of the highlights of Week 9 in Hawaii high school football. It was the Saints’ first varsity victory in Interscholastic League of competition. The school started varsity football in the 2013 season. Kapaa clinches D-II football state berth

Kapaa clinched the Kauai Interscholastic Federation title and a berth into the Division II football state tournament with a 28-0 win over Waimea at Hanapepe Stadium on Saturday. The Warriors, ranked No. 10 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Top 10, improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the KIF. Ka‘u improved to 2-2 With a 42-22 win over Pahoa on Thursday in Big Island Interscholastic League 8-man football. The Trojans pulled closer to first-place Kohala in the standings.
