Two teams from the North Shore had impressive weekends at the Pylon 7v7 football tournament in Las Vegas. Team Hukilau Cafe (high school division) and Team Goat Island (Intermediate) reached the final four of their divisions against some top competition from around the West Coast. Kailua defensive end Christian Mejia received a scholarship offer to play football for the University of Hawaii recently. Waimea to honor 5 former athletes

Waimea will induct five athletes into its Menehune Legacy Hall of Honor at a banquet on the campus’ front lawn on April 9.
