Kapaa’s Unutoa adds offer No. 11; sets visits

Kapaa offensive lineman Morris Unutoa picked up his 11th Division I scholarship offer from Virginia a couple of weeks ago. With his Warriors not playing in the Division II state tournament for at least 11 more days, Unutoa, a 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive lineman, will take an official visit to Oregon State this weekend. Saint Louis and Kahuku both moved up consideraby in the CBS MaxPreps national computer rankings this week. The Crusaders (8-1) jumped 34 spots to No. 34, passing half the teams in front of them in last week’s rankings. Kohala eliminates Pahoa from BIIF 8-man race

Defending champion Kohala dropped Pahoa 38-20 on Saturday, eliminating the Daggers from the Big Island Interscholastic Federation 8-man football title chase. The Cowboys (3-2) visit Ka‘u (3-2) for the championship next Saturday at 2 p.m. In two previous matchups this season, the two teams each won one. Seabury Hall moves to MIL 8-man title game

Seabury Hall defeated visiting Lanai 57-30 in the Maui Interscholastic League 8-man football semifinals on Saturday. The Spartans (3-1) move on to play defending champion Molokai (4-0) for the league title on Thursday at War Memorial Stadium. The Farmers got to the big game with a forfeit win over Hana in the other semifinal. Seabury Hall was the league champion in 2013 and 2014. Baldwin defeated Maui 28-14 on Saturday night to capture the Maui Interscholastic League Division I football championship for the second year in a row and qualify for the upcoming D-I state tournament.
