Kapolei offensive coordinator June Jones will serve as one of the two head coaches in the Polynesian Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Aloha Stadium. Jones will lead Marcus Mariota‘s team while another former Hawaii coach, Dick Tomey, will head Team Stanley. Medical hardship for Canton Kaumatule

The Register-Guard reported Tuesday that former Punahou defensive end Canton Kaumatule has accepted a medical hardship and will no longer play football at the University of Oregon. Kaumatule will be permitted to complete his education in Euguene on scholarship. The 6-foot-7, 295-pound sophomore was a Star-Advertiser all-state selection at Punahou.
