Tagovailoa rushes for 27 yards in U.S. Army bowl

Saint Louis quarterback Tua Tagovailoa rushed for 27 yards and passed for 36 in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio. Tagovailoa, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser player of the year and an Alabama commit, had an 11-yard gain among his seven carries. Notre Dame offers Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa

Kapolei defensive end Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa- has received a football scholarship offer from Notre Dame. Notre Dame Digest reported the offer on Wednesday via its Twitter page. Irish Sports Daily later reported that Tagovailoa-Amosa may make an official visit to the South Bend, Ind. campus. When he’s not refining his skills, the Saint Louis senior spends Sunday afternoons helping his father, Galu, teach skills to youth players in Ewa Beach. According to sources at Punahou, sophomore Falcon Kaumatule is no longer attending basketball practice. They believe he is in Las Vegas and will transfer to Bishop Gorman High School, though nothing official has been shared with Punahou. There isn’t much debate about the top offensive and defensive players of the year in high school football in Hawaii. The 2016 Open Division state champion Saint Louis Crusaders are ranked ninth in the West Region according to the final USA Today rankings released on Monday. The Crusaders (10-1) knocked off Kahuku, 30-14, in the Open Division state final and won their final five games of the season after losing to Punahou, 33-20. Former Mililani all-state offensive lineman Jordan Agasiva, who committed to Hawaii out of high school but ended up at Pima Community College in Arizona, committed to Utah on Christmas evening.
