Saint Louis senior quarterback Chevan Cordeiro has been named one of five finalists for the Polynesian High School Football Player of the Year Award announced today. Cordeiro is a finalist along with former Mililani linebacker Palaie Gaoteote, now a senior at Bishop Gorman and a Southern California commit. Kaiser’s Andrew Choi got to play in only one varsity game this season, but made the most of a second opportunity in the Life Champion Bowl on Saturday on Kauai, making two sacks to earn defensive player of the game honors.
