Kaiser chooses Martinez as next football coach

Arnold Martinez will become the new football head coach at Kaiser, trusted Honolulu Star-Advertiser and Hawaii Prep World sources said Thursday. This will be Martinez’s second head coaching job in Hawaii high school football. He was previously the head man at Moanalua, compiling a 51-51 record in 11 seasons from 2003 to 2013. The 7v7 battle on the final day of the GPA Football College Showcase included many of the top quarterbacks, receivers, linebackers and defensive backs in the state. Among them were overall Showcase MVP Tua Tagovailoa (Saint Louis) and QB MVPs Justin Uahinui (Farrington) and Taulia Tagovailoa of Kapolei.
