Kahuku defensive back Stokes Nihipali-Botelho was voted the USA Today Super 25 Top Star for games played last week by readers of USA Today high school sports. Nihipali-Botelho returned the opening kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown and had two interceptions on defense while helping the No. 1-ranked Red Raiders hold Campbell to negative yardage in a 44-0 victory. Challen Faamatau has been taking handoffs from Farrington varsity quarterbacks and looking for daylight for three years now. At times, Faamatau finds that daylight to put the hurt on opponents. Saint Louis’ defense will likely be without two big pieces for Friday’s game against No. 3 Punahou. Linebacker Isaac Slade-Matautia, who has yet to play this season, is doubtful with a shoulder injury according to Saint Louis coach Cal Lee.
