For the first time since the 2011 season — a span of 92 weeks — Waipahu is ranked in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Football Top 10. Saint Louis remains in Top 25

Saint Louis continued to hold onto its No. 25 ranking in the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 released on Sunday. The Crusaders (7-0) were idle to start the ILH second round over the weekend. Saint Louis will play Kamehameha, which ended a 10-game losing streak to Punahou with a 44-31 win over the Buffanblu on Friday, for the overall league title on Saturday night at Aloha Stadium. Taulia Tagovailoa is having another brilliant high school football season. It’s just not happening in Hawaii like the last two. According to al.com, Tagovailoa has thrown for 2,144 yards, 19 touchdowns and and only three interceptions in his junior season for Thompson High of Alabaster, Ala. ‘Iolani dropped its final Interscholastic League of Honolulu contest Friday, but still clinched a berth in the state Division II playoffs. Despite a valiant effort in a close shootout, host Kamehameha-Maui lost to Baldwin 59-47 in a Maui Interscholastic League game Saturday night. The loss eliminated the Warriors (4-5) from state-tournament contention and allowed Lahainaluna (8-1) to clinch the MIL D-II title and a spot in the D-II state tournament, where it will be the defending champion.
