Smith pumps in 27 as Kahuku rallies past Campbell

By Paul Honda on November 30, 2017

Tolu Smith is just a high school senior, and he is the real deal. Very Timmy. As in Tim Duncan, which isn’t a stretch considering Smith is 6-foot-10 — like Olajuwon — and Duncan was listed at 6-11 through his NBA career. Smith’s father, Galen Smith, played college […]

By Paul Honda on November 29, 2017

It has been a long road for Kolten Caravalho, but he isn’t alone. The Honokaa junior guard was ready when his number was called, and he banked a tough 12-footer in traffic at the buzzer to lead the Dragons to a 37-36 win over host Radford on Wednesday at James Alegre Invitational. He was bumped by a defender on the shot, which banged off the glass, off the rim, back off the glass and through as the buzzer sounded. Caravalho […]

By Billy Hull on November 29, 2017

Central Florida quarterback McKenzie Milton, who will attempt to lead the Knights to a perfect 12-0 record with a win over Memphis on Saturday in the American Athletic Conference championship game, was named the conference’s offensive player of the year today. The 2016 Mililani alum was a no-brainer pick for the conference’s top offensive honor, joining current Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles as the only UCF players to win the award. Milton has accounted for 36 touchdowns in 11 games, […]
