2009 prep football all-star teams

Of the four different players selected with the top honors, there was only one unanimous selection from both papers. Kamehameha girls get some breathing room

The Kamehameha Warriors did something Monday that not many teams in any sport at any level can do. They played a complete game from start to finish. It just so happens that they caught Punahou on somewhat of a bad day and polished off a dominant 2-0 girls soccer victory. For the ninth time in nine weeks, the Lady Spartans of Maryknoll are a unanimous No. 1 in the Star-Advertiser Girls Basketball Top 10. Maryknoll (26-2) has not lost to a Hawaii team all season.
