Kelani Corbett leads 2019 state wrestling brackets

Leilehua’s Kelani Corbett will try to become the fifth girl in state history to complete a slam this year, joining Caylene Valdez of Moanalua (2003), Kamehameha’s Randolyn Nohara (2007) Teshya Alo of Kamehameha (2016) and Lalelei Mataafa of Lahainaluna (2016). ILH champion Damien was handed the top seed in the Snapple Boys Basketball Division II Boys Basketball State Championships beginning on Thursday. The Monarchs will be going for their first state title in basketball, tipping off against Kohala at 7 p.m. Thursday at Kalani.
