Video of the frantic, final 4 minutes. Sloppy, but fun game to watch. Roosevelt trailed 19-0 and didn’t score until early in the second quarter. The Rough Riders chipped away as Kalani wore down, probably still feeling the effects of jet lag after a trip to California. Great finish.

Photos provided by the Kalani basketball team, which went 1-3 in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Orange Holiday Classic in San Diego, Calif. The Falcons were on the mainland for the first time in recent memory after a busy offseason of fundraising by the team and coaching staff. Coach Nathan Davis’ team posted a win over Orange on Friday. Punahou wins title in California

The Punahou Buffanblu defeated Poway 59-52 on Monday to capture the Under Armour Holiday Classic Governor’s Division championship. Punahou won four games in five days, getting a boost from fellow islanders in the title matchup. “Hilo helped us so much,” assistant coach Robert Shklov said, referring to the Hilo High squad that played in the same tourney, different division. “They cheered so hard for us.
