Damien coach Eddie Klaneski is 4-0 for the second time in five seasons after a 56-14 victory over Canada’s St. Thomas More Collegiate on Saturday at Farrington’s Skippa Diaz Stadium. Kapolei receiver De’Zhaun Stribling looked awfully good Friday for a guy who missed the entire week of practice leading up to the game. Stribling, a senior, caught 10 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown as host Kapolei prevailed 31-28 over Downey (Calif.) in a nonleague game. Pearl City’s offensive game plan was ineffective in the first half Friday against visiting Kalaheo. The ground-and-pound approach, led by running back Alii Gaspar, did the trick in the second.
