The first Polynesian Bowl Senior Showcase for current Hawaii high schools seniors has been moved from Saint Louis to Kamehameha.
The event, which will take place on Sunday, Jan. 21, is an opportunity for players to showcase their skills in front of more than 20 coaches from various colleges who will be in attendance.
Coaches will be vetted with emphasis on their willingness and ability to provide scholarships and financial aid to current Hawaii seniors. All Hawaii high schools that play football will have an open invitation to send their seniors (who are not NCAA Division I verbal commits or signees) to attend. Polynesian Bowl coaches will lead the showcase.
Players will participate in combine events and then will be divided into position groups for specific drills. Time will also be allotted for college coaches for individual workouts.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. at Kamehameha’s field. The showcase will begin at 9 and end at 1 p.m.
There will also be a special session for punters or kickers of any age. Brian Egan, a three-time Alabama 6A state champion and director of kicking for OneOnOneKicking Texas, will attend to help placekickers.
Former University of Hawaii punter Tim Grasso, who was the special teams player of the year at UH in 2008 and played in the Sugar Bowl, will be there to help with the punters.

It mentions The special session for kickers n punters are for any age. My son is currently a sophomore and wants to attend. I tried to apply for him on line but the application is only for seniors. Do we apply that Sunday at Kamehameha ? Please let us know
