Campbell roster

—————————

Campbell 71, Kaiser 0, FINAL

11:02: FINAL. Most points scored by Campbell, most yielded by Kaiser in a total mismatch.

Campbell 71, Kaiser 0, 7:31 4Q

10:52 p.m.: Sky Lactaoen breaks free up the middle on his first handoff of the game and goes all the way from 45 yards. XP good and this is now the most points Campbell has scored in a game on record.

Campbell 64, Kaiser 0, 9:05 4Q

10:48 p.m.: Well, maybe not. Reece Kaonohi is brought down for a loss before he can get out of the end zone, resulting in a safety.

10:46 p.m.: Something to build on there for Kaiser, as it holds Campbell on downs at their 1.

10:44 p.m.: Andrew Choi is the latest Cougar to go down in a daze.

10:41 p.m.: Third quarter ends with Campbell knocking behind the legs of Salvido.

Campbell 62, Kaiser 0, 5:50 3Q

10:30 p.m.: The Sabers are doing what they can to run out the clock, but Kaiser can’t stop their predictable runs. Tasi Faumui plunges in from 1 yard out. XP is good and 62 points ties the most points allowed in a game by Kaiser (Waianae, 2015).

10:19 p.m.: Gotta respect Kaiser’s heart. They’ve come out for the second half. If this were boxing, this fight would’ve been stopped a long time ago. At least there’s running clock from here on out.

Campbell 55, Kaiser 0, HALF

10:04 p.m.: The first half mercifully comes to an end. It might be for the best if the second half just doesn’t happen.

Campbell 55, Kaiser 0, 26.5 sec 2Q

10:01 p.m.: Salvido scores for the second time tonight and it’s a whopping 55-0 before halftime. Kaiser is totally gassed against Campbell’s backups.

Campbell 48, Kaiser 0, 4:25 2Q

9:52 p.m.: This isn’t remotely competitive and has the potential to become dangerous for Kaiser. After a lengthy “hydration timeout” called by the officials following a short Kaiser punt, Campbell’s Joshua Salvido goes untouched up the middle 35 yards for yet another TD.

Campbell 41, Kaiser 0, 6:40 2Q

9:41 p.m.: Viliami Vaimoui rumbles in from 18 yards for Campbell and the rout continues unabated. Good time to point out the Campbell scoring record is 68 points, against Waipahu in 2011. That’s definitely in danger.

9:32 p.m.: First quarter comes to an end with Kaiser picking up a first down on a run by Andrew Choi. It’s second and about 16 for the Cougs at the start of the second, though.

Campbell 34, Kaiser 0, 1:28 1Q

9:22 p.m.: Kaipo connects with Gabriel Colon-Valentin for a 20-yard hookup, good for the Sabers’ sixth touchdown of the quarter. Kaiser has a player down hurt and the place has gone quiet. It’s LB/RB Austin Schaefer, who is loaded onto a cart. XP is then good.

Campbell 27, Kaiser 0, 5:54 1Q

9:12 p.m.: This time it’s Jeremiah Tauai taking back an interception, this time from 35 yards. This is getting ugly, and fast.

Campbell 20, Kaiser 0, 7:33 1Q

9:08 p.m.: Adkins-Kupukaa picks off Cody Nguyen with serious momentum and he runs it back 45 yards for another quick Sabers score. Kick no good this time.

9:04 p.m.: It’s not getting better for Kaiser. Running back Kaeo Lakanilau goes down after his first carry of the game. He’s able to limp off, though.

Campbell 14, Kaiser 0, 9:25 1Q

9:01 p.m.: After a couple pitches to Pokii Adkins-Kupukaa from quarterback Krenston Kaipo, Tyrese Tafai recovers the ball in the end zone for a touchdown on a 1-yard gain.

8:57 p.m.: Kaiser goes three and out, and a short punt means Campbell takes over on the Cougars’ 30 … now the 40 after a penalty. Still, a short field.

8:54 p.m.: Kaiser having some trouble getting things going. A false start, a 4-yard pass, and suddenly Cougars have to call timeout. Working out the kinks.

Campbell 7, Kaiser 0, 11:43 1Q

8:48 p.m.: Correction: Kaiser kicked off to begin the game. It’s a squib kick, fielded by Jhoven Sausal. He takes it 75 yards to the house and the extra point is good by Ariel Villanueva. Only 17 seconds elapsed before the first points were on the board.

8:45 p.m.: Kaiser will receive to begin the game.

8:25 p.m.: Kaiser has what looks like 22 players for its varsity season debut. Junior Casey Nguyen is listed at quarterback.

JV final — Campbell 38, Kaiser 23. Kickoff now looking like 8:50.

KICKOFF UPDATE: The JV game was delayed nearly an hour because of traffic getting to Ewa Beach for Kaiser. As of this writing (7:11 p.m.) it’s only halftime of the JV game. Varsity kickoff won’t take place until well after 8 p.m., possibly closer to 9.

    71-0 and not fired yet?
No varsity head coach riding the bus with his players.
No varsity head coach warming up the players.
Yet, says love your teammates. What about the teammates you outcasted last year and this year?
No one wants to play for him.
Misuses God and bamboozles new players. Will only let freshman join late even 2 weeks after school started. Won’t let juniors or seniors join late. Allows 7th and 8th graders to practice before returnees in preseason. I smell an OIA violation?
Kaiser administration knows but they won’t fire him?
Too much church talk and church goers around football. No place for preaching in a public school. Go to a private school that allows that.
Kaiser needs help with a real coach to come and help the boys there who knows what they are doing and won’t belittle the kids or try to convert to christianity.
