Have you looked at the Interscholastic League of Honolulu boys basketball results pouring in last week?
The league —— which has all six teams ranked in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Top 10 —— got underway with six games —— three on Wednesday and three on Saturday —— and the results have been phenomenal.
Take a look:
>> At No. 10 Mid-Pacific 56, No. 1 Punahou 54
>> No. 4 Saint Louis 38, No. 5 Maryknoll 36
>> No. 3 ‘Iolani 47, No. 6 Kamehameha 36
>> No. 1 Punahou 62, No. 6 Kamehameha 60
>> No. 4 Saint Louis 52, No. 3 ‘Iolani 50
>> No. 10 Mid-Pacific 35, No. 5 Maryknoll 32
As you can see, the games were close. Four were by two points, one had a three-point differential and the other one was a relatively close battle decided by 11 points at the end.
The Star-Advertiser’s rankings are sure to have a little bit of a different look when they come out this week.
