Konawaena, ranked No. 7 in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings, lost to Forestville Military Academy 60-54 today at the Title IX Holiday Classic in Washington, D.C.
It is the first loss of the season after 11 wins for Konawaena, which took the ‘Iolani Classic crown two weeks ago. The Wildcats defeated Mililani (75-22), South Medford (Ore.) (62-48) and Bishop O’Dowd (Calif.) (62-50) at the Classic.
More recently, the WIldcats were coming off victories over Pahoa (81-11) and Ka‘u (101-8).
