Saint Louis held off Kamehameha on Saturday, barely, and also kept ahold of its No. 1 ranking in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s Top 10 football poll released Monday.

The Crusaders (3-0), who have not been lower than No. 2 in the poll this season, scraped by with a 31-27 win over the Warriors at Aloha Stadium.

All other teams in the poll remained in the same spot. Idle Punahou kept the No. 2 rank, and No. 3 Mililani stayed put after a 54-6 homecoming victory over Aiea.

Both the Buffanblu (4-0) and the formerly top-ranked Trojans (4-1) received one first-place vote each. Saint Louis received 11 first-place votes.

Kahuku, which got a first-place vote, a week ago, did not receive one this week from the panel of media members statewide.

The poll follows, with first-place votes in parentheses, won-lost records, points accumulated in the voting, and last week’s rank.
