Mark Kane is returning as the soccer head coach at Saint Louis School, athletic director Wade Okamura announced Monday.
Kane held the Crusaders’ job from 2010 to 2013 and also from 1984 to 1995. He is on the faculty at Saint Louis and has 25 years of coaching experience in both boys and girls soccer in the OIA and ILH. He was also the women’s coach at Hawaii Pacific University from 1995 to 2007.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome Mark Kane back to guide our coaching staff,” said Okamura in a news release. “Mark’s passion and knowledge in all aspects of the game make him the best choice to redirect the soccer program at Saint Louis.”
Kane graduated from Saint Louis, lettering in football, soccer and track and field. He later taught at Castle High School and coached the Knights’ varsity football team. He returned to Kalaepohaku after retiring from the Hawaii Department of Education.
