Coach Leslie thanks Kahuku via video

Coach Lee Leslie will always remember his short time as the Kahuku football head man. He thanks everyone involved with the program “from the bottom of my heart” in this video from his home in Idaho.

At the end of the video, he predicts an undefeated season for the Red Raiders in 2015 and says with a smile, “Go Big Red.”

Leslie resigned last week after a 9-3 season to return to his family on the mainland. The Kahuku administration is advertising for the open positions of head varsity and JV coaches.

The wheels will continue to roll and Coach Leslie helped us see things from different angles all for the benefit for us as parents/fans/players and alumni to learn and grow from. Hats off to the man and best of luck in your future endeavors. Reggie got a hurricane of criticism his first 3 years as HC and he is alumni, Im glad Leslie won’t have to go through that in year 2,3. Definitely a job requiring thick skin, heck even now the interim coach who is also alumni and helped the 2001 team win a championship is getting hit by waves of criticism. AH WEH! Kahuku is killing me! Hea we go big red lets get it next season!
