The Division I bracket for the state tournament didn’t change despite the ouster of No. 1-ranked Kahuku.
The OIA champion, Mililani, is seeded first and will have a first-round bye. Saint Louis is the second seed behind Mililani, an oddity considering the Crusaders’ season-long lock at No. 2 in the Top 10 behind Kahuku.
Saint Louis will also have a bye before facing Baldwin, Leilehua or Waianae.
Oddly enough, tonight’s Leilehua-Waianae winner will have a tougher road than the loser. By finishing second, either team will travel to play Baldwin in a quarterfinal. The winner will face Saint Louis.
The Leilehua-Waianae loser, meanwhile, will host the Big Island Interscholastic Federation champion (either Kealakehe or Keaau), then play Mililani. Waianae gave Mililani its only loss during the regular season.

Who said the “Political Season” ended on Tuesday?
I agree…St. Louis should be #1.
Watching Waianae-Leilehua and cannot figure out what the thinking is?
Both of these teams qualify and the LOSER stays on Oahu to play the BIIF champ (Kealakehe); the WINNER has to travel to Maui to play the MIL Champ. Am I missing something? Why are they trying to win?
Kanoa says that the seeding was done “a couple of weeks ago” with the thought that Kahuku would be the OIA Champion?
WTH?
Waianae gets to host Kealakehe? Nice loss.
Bra, you'd be a fool to think that Kahuku wouldn't have been the OIA champion and State champion.
